Mr. Pruett,

I just wanted to check in with you and see how everything was going. Have you gotten any Letter to the Editor's Published or contacted any local businesses?

Hello George, Thanx for sharing that letter from Demint with us. I think we can all read between the lines to see where his agenda is headed. We need to work on him a great deal more, along with Lindsey too! I think Inglis is the only one in our state that we can count on to approach these issues from the right perspective.
By the way, will you be attending the Town Hall meeting tomorrow @ Furman??

George,
When you first greeted me I thought you asked if I was I part of a plant operating out of Pickens. Thats why I initially responded the way I did. About 2 minutes later what you actually said sunk in and thats why I ran out to your car!

To date my PV (Photo Voltaic) array's generation of electricity has prevented almost 400 pounds of CO2 from being pumped into the atmosphere by oil and coal powered electric generating plants . The array contains a digital display which gives me continuous information on, among other things, how much energy it has captured from the sun and converted into electricity. As far as costs are concerned if time to payback is your main motivation for getting a solar array then the system is NOT presently cost effective. The rough cost is about $8 per watt. To figure out how much power you would need (very roughly) look at your electric bill and it will tell you how many KWH (kilowatt-hours) you used in a month. Divide that by 80 and the result is how many watts of electricity you need to generate to get your electric bill to $0. Multiply your number of watts by $8 and you'll get the cost of the system. This is a VERY rough calculation but it will give you an indication of cost. I chose to get a system which generates 7KW of power which is about 40% of my average usage. When you install a PV system you will get a tax credit of 25% from SC and 30% from the Federal gvt. Even with this the payback period is too long to be considered as the only motivation for installation.

Try the "you have to listen to me" technique. When you are line at eh grocery or drug store, really any line that is irritating. Start taking energy, oil soldiers, something will strike a nerve. Let the other person vent and agree if what they are sying is true to you. About any controversial thing that realtes back to Pickens. Soldiers and war and money all seem to work well. Then by chance have a folded petition in your wallet. The contest one is good. Tell them you are in a contest with your classmate Missy. Everybody want to help you win if it does not cost them. See if that helps. I have been in Professional sales a ling time. Evoke emotion, if you can agree with their feelings without being too personal they affirm that they are right.THat seems to help me and my sincere hope is that it works for you.

Hey George,

I have been speaking with friends and family and business contacts. I really want to get as many folks sign up as possible. I am speaking with a grocery store about setting up shop at their store front.

Do you have some ideas that have worked well for you that you are willing to share with me?

On a personal note. I even know where the town of Ninety-six is and I have been there!!!
