Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I work part time for the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association and promote ground source heat pump as a means of conservation. I believe we can save 50% of our energy needs by using ground source heat pumps, and wind power to generate the electrical needs of the USA. I am also interested in Green technology and promoting "Green Zones" within our cities in areas of needed development such as Business Improvement Districts...such as the one in Stillwater, OK.
What excites you about this campaign?
Getting off of forign oil and promotion of alternative energy and conservation methods.
What do you want to do to help?
Talk about conservation methods and alternative energy methods.

Installing a Ground Source or Geothermal Heat Pump Before Solar or Wind Good Idea to Save 50-70% Electric Energy.

Before installing solar panels or a windturbine in your home or business you should install a ground source or geothermal heat pump to save 50-70% of your electric energy. By saving 50-70% of your electric energy you only have to put in half as many solar panels of half the size of the windturbine to get 100% energy savings. A tax credit of 30% is available to install a Geothermal Heat Pump System. I just had one installed in a new home I am building. I took pictures and video of the complete in… Continue

Merry Christmas Gerald,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Gerald, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

Thanks Gerald for the comment. The problem with making any windmill smaller is that the cost per kw is increased dramatically. This is why wind-farms are made with huge machines, not hundreds or thousands of small machines.

My goal with this project is to produce a machine with enough power not to just power a refrigerator ($10 per month from a small machine that costs $10,000), but supplies all your electricity for your home, all the electricity for heating and cooling (obviously electric heat) and powers your wife's electric car, someday your electric pick-up truck and a high school childs' electric car.

A machine that creates this amount of power MUST be developed ECONOMICALLY to answer over time the vast energy needs that are consumed.

The other opportunity is to create windfarms from cheap machines that power hydrogen production facilities and water desalination facilities. Very soon (next 5 to 7 years), water in the southwest US will be 10 times more valuable than the electricity to desalinate it.

Hello. My name is Adam. I have been developing an incredible new design of windmill. This project is in jeopardy as my financial backer has defaulted and now relatively minor debts are becoming legal issues. This project holds the promise of reducing wind power costs by 1/2 and also providing large amounts for lower investments. Also these machines can be installed on existing wind farms to increase output on the same real estate as these machines utilize wind 100 ft & below. I need help so I am reaching out. Adam

Geothermal Tax Credits

There are a number of tax credits and incentives available to homeowners and business owners who install a ground source heat pump (geothermal) system.

Links to state and federal tax credits and incentives can be found below.

Federal Geothermal Tax Credits and Incentives

Federal Personal Income Tax Credit of $2,000 for Ground Source Heat Pump Systems.

Hi Gerald

We now have a RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON on the main page, top right. Fill out the standard form and the letter is sent to YOUR Governor and Washington Representatives! Easy breezy. Perfect timing considering the energy bill is coming up. We must beat back the lobbyists!

WE CAN DO THIS.
Best

Key Policy Recommendations for a Cleaner, Greener Energy Future

* Provide multiyear tax incentives for renewable-energy production and energy-efficiency projects.

* Set national mandates that would require utilities to get at least 20 percent of their electricity from wind, solar and geothermal energy by 2020.

* Add and updating the building code to require energy-efficiency measures in the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings, and setting a goal to reduce buildings' energy use 50 percent by 2030.

* Set prices for carbon-dioxide emissions and creating a program that caps emissions from different industries and allowing companies to trade emissions allowances.

* Upgrade and expanding the nation's electric grid to enable it to support electric cars and the transport and storage of renewable energy.

* Provide incentives for utilities to invest in energy-efficiency technologies.

* Increase the fuel efficiency of cars and trucks and investing more money in private-public partnerships that would develop transportation systems that rely on little or no oil, such as electric cars.

* Provide incentives to consumers and small businesses to buy plug-in hybrid cars and alternative fuels, including natural-gas-powered cars.

* Invest more federal dollars in cleantech research and development, including ways to capture and store carbon-dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants.

* Speed up the process of setting aside public lands and improving the permitting process for renewable-electricity projects on public lands.

* Shift from ethanol made from corn to ethanol made from wood chips, agricultural waste and other nonfood feedstock, and encouraging a joint U.S.-Brazil partnership to turn sugar cane into ethanol in the Caribbean.
