- I am the Director of Renewable Energy for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and have worked on various projects across the south with State Energy Offices, Department of Energy and Oak Ridge National Laboratory on Wind and Solar technology.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- A fresh broad non-partisan approach to promotion of renewable energy, which most people do not realize is now a mature technology ready for mass adoption.

Have you seen Pickens Plan March on Washington yet? We should be a few weeks away from the Dallas office setting an official date. I would like for SACE to be involved. This is a chance to bring together various groups with similar goals to take a unified message to the Capitol.
The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.

CALLING ALL LEADERS!
We have petitions! "THE PLEDGE" is on the main page.
I think this is the very best tool we could ask for. It is so much easier to get someone to sign a petition than to go online and join the plan as a member.
I have been test driving it for a few days and got 200 signatures rather eaasily. Most folks had seen the ads or seen Boone on the news. Most were eager to sign it and strongly support it. A few wanted to get more info- I handed them a business card with the website. Very few said no (2 or 3).
I hope you can ask all your "friends" to download a bunch of PLEDGES and fax them back to the office ASAP. THIS IS HOW WE BUILD AN ARMY much faster. Millions of signatures.

I recently discovered the new "Find Members Near You" feature of the site and I am sending the message below to everyone in Tennessee. It would be nice to get everyone organized.

I live in Knoxville, and when I signed up to PickensPlan, I looked for groups in Tennessee. There were groups centered in Nashville and Memphis, but not Knoxville, and the activity and leadership in our state in general was kind of weak. I began the group East Tennessee for Sustainable Infrastructure and I would appreciate any input. You can find it here
