Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?

Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

None as yet but would love to be able to have it. I rent so I have no control over my energy use at present. Thanks to this economy I cannot afford to buy a hybrid or any other alternative energy vehicle. Would if it was at all possible.

What excites you about this campaign?

I have been a fan of anything that will stop global warming and keep our planet clean. Also, here in the "Quiet Corner" of Connecticut very few people accept alternative energy at present because of combined cost and the newness of the idea. We need for citizens in this area to be exposed to the idea. But realistically I don't think anything major will be done until some sort of government plan is put in place. Something like FDR's WPA would accomplish a host of changes in ways that we can afford if it's done right.

What do you want to do to help?

For the moment I will spread the word about the Pickens Plan. I think it's workable but it has to be talked up first. I would like to see us completely disconnected from oil--all oil by 2050.

Hopefully more people in the North East will join in as they get exposed via the Tv ads & maybe will start learning about going green through the web & cable programming like Planet Green's programming which is showing how normal people can go greener by making small changes to their homes & lifestyles
