Must be yen years at least, maybe one day we'll meet. The homes I am building here in Portugal will be more eco-friendly than the usual concrete stuff the locals turn out. They are over three floors on an insulated damp free foundation.First two floors built with Siporex blockfor speed and insulation, and top floor in steel frame, for no other reason than I want it so ! However, it has some amazing perks. Solar hot water, PV cells, a pool on sunk into the roof, glass curtains to screen the balcony off and a sliding lantern roof over the kitchen area which slides over the balcony to create a glass dining area on half of the balcony.

Anyway, they did have a steel frame underneath with SIPpanel floor and walls. Fabulous leaded light light bathroom windows, I went for 'cabin luxury' rather than profit, all I wanted to do was make people happy and make a few pence along the way.......not to be.
However, whats goes round comes round and I`m doing it again very shortly with www.opipt.com/crcarmo.htm and all the goodies will be in there.
Its what you give `em that sells it.
That's a great slide show! What are the dimensions of those homes and what do you sit them, on? Is there a steel base under them, or just a regular sill, and do you truck them to the site, or build them on site? Are you currently building them in Portugal?

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. We need your help.
There is a perfect storm of events happening right now that create the possibility of a paradigm shift that is urgently needed. We have an angry citizenry due to pain at the pump, a presidential election on the horizon, and a man with a plan to dramatically and imminently reduce our dependance on foreign oil, and provide a bridge to future solutions, who has the resources, contacts, knowledge, wealth and "will" to get it done.

With large numbers of supporters, we can put pressure to bear on Congress to incentivize alternative and renewable energies, and insure that our future president will be a leader that will push for domestic energy solutions. JFK once said. "in the next 10 years we will put a man on the moon". He got it done. We need that kind of leadership on energy.
Time is of the essence. If gas prices retreat the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. How frightening to be looking back and apologizing to our children that we could not get this done when we had the chance.
