What excites you about this campaign?

Keeping US dollars in the US. I do not think oil is evil and I do not want to live a more spartan life. I support the Pickens Plan because it allows us to maintain the quality of life we have now with little dependence on foreign oil. Mr. Pickens says "drill, dril, drill and we should, but we must find other sources of energy.

What do you want to do to help?

Anything I can do.

Thank you, kindly, for the friend. I hope you will keep in touch. We have work to do, but with help from everyone....WE CAN DO THIS. Please let me know how you do with adding new supporters. We would be honored to have you in the 10CLUB, if you gather 100 or more. It really is quite easy - everyone wants to get off foreign oil, onto American renewable solutions AND keep the money in this country. We just need to gather their names.

Any questions, just ask. I hope you will join your congressional district - they need help with building grass roots in your community!

Obama gave a terrific speech Friday from a wind turbine parts manufacturing facility in Ohio. Now is the time to keep up the pressure. We ARE changing the way everyone in this country looks at the energy crisis, and how it directly effects our economy, environment and national security.

The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.

Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.

- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.

Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
