Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I've had an interest in renewables for about the last 10 years educating myself on solar, wind, bio-mass, green living, etc.. I served several years as co-chairperson of North Texas Renewable Energy group, an education group an chapter of the Texas Solar Energy Society (Member of American Solar Energy Society). I'm an electrical engineer by degree and have a solid understanding of the technologies envolved. I also have an understanding of the oil industry and whats out there having worked for Arabian American Oil company for 5 years in Saudi Arabia.
What excites you about this campaign?
I share Mr. Pickens view of the world and how the situation we find ourselves in. I have particularly been a big fan of windpower (I get my power from Green Mtn.) I've know for several years that Texas, Kansas, South Dakota and North Dakota have enough prime wind to power the US.
What do you want to do to help?
I'll do whatever is necessary. I would probably be most useful speaking as an advocate for the plan but will help as much as I can to move this initiative forward. Thanks for the opportunity to participate. I can be reached at 972-814-3999 as well as at the email address above.

Happy New Year Greg,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Greg, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
Greg,
TX-26 district has been organizing our group through the month of Dec. I see you have not been attached to a congressional district. We invite you to join district-26.
We have members from Denton, Tarrant, Dallas and Collin counties.
Regards, Joey Horn

GregTRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority. The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must focus on drastic efficiency improvement.
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, less expensive than freeways, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. With your engineering and science experience I thought you might want to learn more about ETT
You responded to my forum about aggresive drilling. I browsed your page and discussions and found we both have the same beliefs on renewable energy and oil. You also seem to be quite knowledgable about the industry. I also found out you're a ASES subscriber; so am I! I sent you a friend request. I look forward to talking to you!
