Henry, you asked if I have been back to Pickens Plan -- yes. I checked in on Feb 15th and left some comments somewhere, so I'm not sure why you left me a comment? I also would encourage you to tone down your comments -- you don't make friends by shouting. It is clear that you believe that you have something good going -- that is great, I have no problem with that. However, I am leery about a great many things. Being a scientist, I am a skeptic, and many people make many claims about wonderful things that just aren't true. You may very well be on to something, but I don't think at this point that you will be able to convince very many people. Like most product development processes, you'll have to accumulate data. Invite or ask others, perhaps automotive experts from UVU or experts from UofU or something to look at the product, to evaluate it in their labs. If it works, tell them that they can publish some reports on it -- that is what most academics really want to be able to do. It there is good data, work with them to get the word out. That will be more convincing to myself, and perhaps to many others, that your product is worth taking a serious look at. I did, also, think of a practical concern -- if someone were to have recently bought a new car and were to put in your system, do their void their manufacturer's warranty? That may be a real consideration.
Welcome. We appreciate you setting up an active account.
After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.
FYI: Got a message for T. Boone? Contact your Regional Leader
Welcome once again and thanks for signing up.
