Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:: Not much practically. However, I am an engineer and know enough to distinguish the good ideas from the scams....

What excites you about this campaign?: I am interested in alternate energy. I have done a LOT of reading and research into alternate energy systems since I was a wee lad... Things like Salter's ducks, etc... Have been interested for a while, in designing a system that would involve solar and wind energy at the front-end, charge a battery with the power produced, produce H2 with this power for use in a hydrogen fuel cell.... Great way to produce power-on-demand. I live in the US north east and we have intensely cold and long winters and our heating bills are going from outrageous to insane. It would be nice to at least provide enough power to heat one's house without oil.....

What do you want to do to help?: I have an idea (NOT the one I mention above, but a unique and eco-friendly (no bird-kills) way to harness the wind) that needs funding to develop further. Would like to know if there are funds available and if so how to go about applying for a grant....
