Hey J. Brown, I just befriended Eric Koch and I saw your avatar (because you're a friend of his too)! It's just like my business card. I see you are in Houston - that explains a little. What involvement did you have in the HST, or do you use the avatar just for "spacial" implications?
Thank you for making me a friend. I have a small group to discuss helping people with ideas to get them to the prototype stage. This may be of interest to you. Please check it out.
I am somewhat new to PickensPlan.com. I just started a group to discuss how ideas such as the one you talked about on the credit union group could be done; how to help people develop ideas into concepts or further. I would appreciate your thoughts. The address of this discussion is;
I love your photo I stop in at NASA's website often, just to look at the marvels created in our cosmos. That is one of my most favorite Hubble photos.
Please tell us a little more about yourself.
I am sure before long, you will feel right at home in the Pickens Plan discussions. I did anyways and sometimes I get carried away.
You will soon be contributing more to the War on Energy Dependence than you ever thought you would.

What excites you about this campaign?
I saw a documentary about a post-WW2 Antarctic expidition using surplus war equipment - they were there to "find resources that will make the world better for everybody." I remember farming with that technology. From a modern perspective, I can't imagine how brave they had to be to undertake such a quest with so little.
I'd love to see this movement bring that sort of quest to the American people. We could revive that dream. Let's go for it.
What do you want to do to help?
As a scientist and computer system designer, I spend my days analyzing and evaluating technology for practical applications and explaining the pros and cons to decision makers.
The main problem with alternate energy is thousands of ideas, some stupid, some scams and some just unrealistic. This noise (nonsense) makes it impossible for a consensus on the viability, cost and time frame of the really good ideas out there.
I'd like to help sort thru ideas and clarify what might be "fast out of the gate" for a quick hit, what is a good long-term strategy for our children/grandchildren and what just won't work.
