I will help in any way I can. There aren't any members in the Steubenville area. I can do anything online but can't travel to any events at the present.
I am with Gary I remain optmistic about the future. We still need to have our voices heard or nothing happens but changes are happening acording to CNN last night. Yippee! Small changes slowly add up and then snowball.
I would be the assistant district leader if Franklin Wallbrown still wants to be the district leader but I have no idea how to start or what to do.
Last night I invited 400 (my address book) to join Pickens Plan and I've had 1 responce. She didn't say she'd join but that she'd pass the word on! I am Oh-6.
I just invited 400 people to join Pickens Plan. Hope even 100 do. I'm pleased to find a group that goes green! My friends call me Aleen Gore! Thanks for being there. Sometimes I feel as though I'm the only one.

- Hi, Judi! I read your comment on the facebook members page about inviting people and getting responses. I printed the PP on the main page and a petition, and started with my family and close friends. (they listened-some because i made them--not really) I just sat down with them for a few minutes and explained the PP to them, and regardless of their personal feelings about many issues, the one thing that is agreed is that someone has a plan! and the people support to get it implemented...so that was successful in recruiting members. it's a simple plan, and if we are excited about the possibilities then others will be too. I also personally like the sticker or poster that says "What's your Plan?" at the resource center on the main page as well, because, truthfully, most people don't have one, and are willing to get behind someone who does, especially if they're not a politician. Hope some of this was helpful, and good luck recruiting.

When speaking to friends, family and colleagues, either in person or on the phone, ask them if they agree with the objective of American Independence from foreign oil. Just slip it into the conversation between the corporate babble, recipe exchange or play date logistics.
When they say YES (no one says NO), tell them you’re going to include their name on a Pickens Plan Petition with their email, zip code and phone. NO ONE will call or bug them (except perhaps you) to join the organization or do anything further if they elect not to.
Fill out and FAX the petitions to the number on the form and you’re done. You will get credit for the sign ups toward the 100 club. It’s easy and fast and there’s NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED.
There are only a few days left until Inauguration day. Do it now!

After you've had a chance to settle in, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The basic first steps are reviewing the current topics in the Forum, and inviting others to the website when you're comfortable. The people here want to do something to foster energy independence and those you invite will find that joining us is the right thing to do.
Here are further steps you might consider, some of which you may have already taken.
- Sign up to lead or volunteer on the Local District page.
- Visit your My Energy page and get involved.
- Get involved with others in your City or State.
- Find and connect with a like-minded Group.
- Start or join a Campus/Alumni group at PickensU.
- Work your contacts to increase press coverage.
- Write to congressional representatives directly.
- Use Pickens Action buttons or call (202) 225-3121.
- Speak out for ending our dependence on foreign oil.
- Write letters to the editor of your local paper.
- Download flyers/etc from here or here.
- Download the Petition and ask others to sign it.
- Start a company to build wind turbines/solar panels.
- Start a financing firm to invest in those companies.
- Tell everyone you know about PickensPlan.com.
Decide for yourself what you can do, but definitely do something.

Go to THE PLEDGE Lend your voice to the call for American energy independence Fill in the short, standard form.
Go to the MY ENERGY page. Register and make your voice count.
Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state.
Download the PETITION : get them signed, fax them in to the 888# at the bottom of the pledge, asap.
This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledge. Let Kim Anderson know when you are done and she will see that you are added to the list.
