I know how important it is to make this change to get off the oil train and I feel that even though people don't want to support the oil companies, I don't think some know how important it is to act on it now. I would like to see the private sector and all these investors who are investing in oil get perks to invest in new sources of energy to break this cycle we have been stuck on for so long. Major changes need to come soon. I don't think it's too late. I will do everything in my power to make something positive happen. I will continue to find the resources I need to start a green business and I feel the Pickens Plan may be one of them.

Way to go JAck!

OK... go to the TAKE ACTION page. On the left side under tools there are three blue bars. The on e in the middle says upload. This is where you want to be. It does take a bit of time. But I like knowing it is done!

You can fax it. But the ones I faxed do not seem to be attached to our district yet. Many were over 2-3 weeks ago! I know they all go into the pot. But our district is working hard, and they deserve to see the results!

LEt me know if you have more problems.

40 is fantastic. How many do you have total. You must be closing in on 100!

BEST

I live in a small town of 10,000 with 15% unemployment . I am working on Petition #9 enlisting 72 people into Boone's Energy Army. I have jumped through hoops, rolled on the floor, and did sing 3 songs that gave me a standing ovation......While they were applauding I signed up some more.......Let's keep the army in GROWTH MODE! However, I am running out of people to talk to who are positive about anything.

Hey JAck

Are you at 100 yet? Can't wait to hear. When you ask foks to use the letter, they can manually input the names on TAKE ACTION page, if they do not have or want to fax.

It is actually quicker to get the names into the system this way!

Jack,
We see things the same way and we are at a crossroads where we need to do everything we can to catch up with what we should have done in the 70s. Greed is a hard battle to win and our country has been turned up side down over oil and greed. They are one in the same and we need to work together to get away from it now. We still have time to get it done and the time is now. This is our last chance to get it right. Lets work together to rebuild the American dream.

What I have learned in having conversations with people about over seas oil is we are on the same page but for different reasons. Some don't believe in global warming, but they don't like the control the oil companies have on our economy. The rest don't like the fact that we are destroying the earth while supporting terrorism with American money. I will do the petition and get as many people involved as possible. I feel it is important to get green businesses started as soon as possible and rebuild the American dream with jobs and freedom.
Sincerely,
Greg

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I'm a hands-on carpenter builder who started building passive solar and earth bermed homes in 1973 (OPEC Embargo) as well as low tech geo thermal systems. I'm currently building Timber Framed homes enclosed with Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) wall systems which use controlled harvest, renewable resource timbers and are 35-50% more energy efficient then conventional construction. Visit my New Hampshire fabricators website to learn more about this: www.davisframe.com .
What excites you about this campaign?
Because of his personal knowledge of the oil industry, business experience, success and visibility, T. Boone has the ability to bring this vital issue to power centers the average person can't reach. I believe he can make a difference in affecting real change in our objectives for US energy independence. He has put his money where his mouth is in Sweetwater, TX and is a genuine action figure in this vital cause.
What do you want to do to help?
We must educate consumers about simple conservation techniques and alternative energy options where the most is used; homes, transportation and industry. I believe the path to energy independence is largely an issue of educating users about these options so we can reduce consumption while creating the demand for alternative energy resources which new industries can satisfy. I would like to be part of that process of education.
