Happy New Year Jackie,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Jackie, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Hey Jackie,
Just checked my email before I have to hit the road, so I won't be back for a several days.

If Lindsey Williams is right, things are going to happen fairly quickly. At some point in the future (I was born the same month of the same year that Israel became a nation again, so I expect to see the prophecies for the second coming fulfilled in my lifetime), we will see the rise of a world government (The New World Order?), probably under the United Nations charter (look up U. S. State Department document 7277, signed by JFK), from that point the Anti-Christ will likely manage some kind of coup. On the day he signs a treaty/covenant with Israel, the seven year period will begin. Have no idea when that will be, but my timetable starts from there.

As for alternative energy, I've spent 35 years studying and learning. Some things work, some don't. I don't think any one is "the best" and am planning an overall strategy combining many of the better ones.

Gotta run, Robert

Hey Jackie,
I read a couple of the early books in the series and found them entertaining. I don't agree that they are necessarily dangerous, misleading perhaps. And the timetable of events they have used is one that I couldn't quite fit with scripture. Among the many different theories or interpretations, three seem to be the most commonly held regarding the timing of the return of Christ in relation to the seven-year period commonly called The Great Tribulation (pre-trib, mid-trib & post-trib). I have come to the personal belief that all three are partially correct and partially incorrect. The Left Behind series utilizes the pre-trib timetable, but I believe the seven-year period is correctly broken into parts: Comparing the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 to the opening of the first six seals in Revelation 6 gave me the chronology and a line-by-line guide. The first three years and five months could be called 'the beginning of sorrows' or 'birthpangs', followed by an event described by Daniel as the Abomination of Desolation (or the abomination that makes desolate). Then comes approximately thirty days of 'tribulation such as the world has never known,' followed by what most people call 'the Rapture.' It might better be described as the opening event of the second coming of Christ. The last three and a half years could be called 'the Wrath of God' or the 'Day of the Lord.' At the end of this period comes the final battle at Armageddon, followed by 45 days of judgment described as 'the Coming of the Ancient of Days' in Daniel and perhaps referred to in the parable of 'the sheep and the goats'(Matthew 25:31-46). Following that is the Millennial Kingdom, Ezekiel's War and the Great White Throne judgment, then the new heaven, the new earth, New Jerusalem and eternity. I've capitalized words and given title to the events mostly to identify them, and some of the titles are common to all of the interpretations. By using the timetable I have, (the lengths of the various portions are provided in Daniel and Revelation), I am able to reconcile problems I found with the three commonly held teachings. The pre-trib position is correct that believers 'are not destined for wrath' and will be taken out before 'the Wrath of God/the Day of the Lord' which is the second half of the seven year period. The mid-trib position is correct that Christ will return for us in the in the middle of the seven years, and the post-trib position is correct that He will return 'immediately after the tribulation of those days' (Matthew 24:29). My greatest concern over the years since I came to these conclusions has been that Christians are being given a false hope of being 'snatched out' before any of these difficulties befall us and are not being prepared to deal physically or spiritually with the realities ahead of us. But, since one of the instructions is to do nothing, my fears may be groundless. And my failing memory caused me to use quotation marks in my previous comment where I was simply combining thoughts from different locations. I wrote: When you see 'these things happen in Jerusalem and Judea' flee to the mountains. The actual quote I was thinking of is in Matthew 24:15-16 and does not mention Jerusalem: 'Therefore when you see the Abomination of Desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.' And I probably didn't need to go into such detail just to say that I couldn't stay interested in the Left Behind series, because I didn't agree with the timetable used. But prophecy is one of my favorite subjects, and I frequently get up on my soapbox and can't seem to find my way down. Robert

Hi Jackie, thanks for your reply. I acquired a copy of Lindsey Williams' book and have begun reading it; he appears to be an honest man (not all of the folks who profess to be doing God's work prove to be genuine). The premise of the book is a bit scary, but it isn't uncommon. A hundred years ago (actually, 36-37), I was an intelligence analyst at NSA. I saw and heard some eye-opening things. At the same time, the testimony of a Jewish man who became a Christian without ever looking at a New Testament (studying what we would call Old Testament prophecies within an orthodox Jewish family) inspired me to make a commitment to understanding biblical prophecy. I had to reconcile some differences in the most commonly accepted teachings; ironically, after I had struggled through the process for about ten years and was sharing my thoughts with one of my sisters, she sent me a book with pretty much the same solutions I had found. Ten years later, I came across an excellent book, The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church by Dr. Marvin Rosenthal, that gives a clear explanation of the same solutions (I think I disagreed with him on one or two minor points, but I recommend the book highly).

Even if I am completely off base regarding my interpretations of prophecy, I still believe it is important for us to understand that the "happily after ever" we are promised is for the next life. We are told to expect persecutions and tribulations as we go God's way in this life (and not one of us is perfect, so sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot). As a Scoutmaster, I taught Boy Scouts to "Be Prepared" for any emergency. I think it is a lifestyle Americans have mostly forgotten in this age of government entitlements. Natural disasters, recessions, depressions and civil disturbances can all leave us between the proverbial "rock and a hard place" if we do not make some preparations in advance. I believe wisdom encourages us to prepare for the future and faith inspires us to trust in God's protection. The two actions are not in conflict. I have not yet been able to accomplish all of the preparations wisdom tells me I should make; faith reminds me that either I have the time for God to provide the resources necessary to complete those preparations, or He has a different plan that I have not yet learned (I can be very hard-headed and tend toward self-reliance, so I often talk when I should listen and try to act when I should be still and wait on Him). And I have only found two instructions related to our behavior in the last days: 1. Do nothing--don't worry, don't even consider what you will say when dragged before kings and princes. 2. When you see "these things happen in Jerusalem and Judea" flee to the mountains. Many of us will be martyred for our faith; some of us will escape death to be "changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye." Whatever God leads us to do, He will be with us through it.

We need to stand strong for what is right, with compassion for those who are wrong (I agree with a friend who once told me he could not understand how any Christian could fail to be broken-hearted for the lost), and we need to be prepared to "lose" many of the battles before evil has run its course and God allows us to share in the ultimate victory. May God bless you, too!

Hi Jackie, I watched the video last night, and the information more or less goes with a book I read 20 or 30 years ago entitled None Dare Call It Conspiracy. Lindsey Williams mentioned the John Birch Society; they publish a magazine called The New American and provide a very different perspective on the news. If Williams is accurate, we could/should see a strike against Iran, perhaps by Israel, before the administration change in January. And Ron, there have been what you might call "battery" cars around for years. GM build a fleet of electric cars several years back, leased them to a few folks, then inexplicably called them in and crushed them. More conspiracy? Might be the answer to a question I asked my high school civics teacher 45 years ago. "Why do educated, intelligent people consistently make decisions in Congress that even a teenager can recognize as very unwise?" Whether the video is true or not, about the only thing we can do is try to deal with the known and be prepared for the unknown. As a Christian who has spent 40 years studying biblical prophecy, I no doubt have some out of the mainstream opinions (some that are even out of the mainstream Christian teachings), but, if what I believe is true, we are in for some losing battles with evil before we win the war. There have always been conspiracy theories and conspiracies; many of the theories have been debunked, some of the conspiracies have reached fruition. Finding facts or truth or accurate news when nearly everyone has an agenda that skews their thinking can be nearly impossible. The media have long since moved opinion from the editorial pages; just a few days ago one of the outlets announced that they are now going to "begin" inserting opinion into their reporting. We have an education system that is now teaching young people what to think rather than how to think. Makes it tough. If you are a Christian, you can depend on God to be with you through any circumstances. If not, I guess you'll just have "to trust your gut."

Been away from the computer for most the day, BC. I'm guessing you're refering to Obama. Actually, what you stated was more than nice in my opinion. I have a lot worse to say about those idiots. LOL They are more like throwbacks from Germany back in the 1930's who thought Hitler walked on water.

Jackie,

I think the people believing in his BS are really really naive. That is the nicest thing I can think of to say.

Have a great day & weekend,

Bruce
