I will be holding a "Tennessee" conference call for those that are interested tommorow (July 23rd at 8:30 p.m. EST). I can only host the first 99 callers. I will also have a web portal with a power point slide and material at http://www.science-energy.com to support the call.
Call into the conference dial-in number at (712) 432-1601 and enter the participant code 702284*. For any questions, you can email me at brad_parish@yahoo.com. We will be recording the call for future potential use.
I would encourage someone for the PickensPlan staff to attend too if possible (but please contact me first so I can be sure to give you time on the call).
Let's get some energy going on the PickensPlan!
Brad Parish, Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Tenneesse has great potential in providing solutions for energy:
-The Governor has a new Energy Division http://www.state.tn.us/ecd/energy.htm
-We are home to TVA that has some some green power (wind, just minutes from my home) (http://www.tva.gov/greenpowerswitch/index.htm)
-We are home to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory that does national energy research. (www.ornl.gov)
-Tenneesse is building a new biomass ethanol plant.
-We have some excellent supplies of natural gas in Tennessee, for example Morgan County, TN. (http://www.wate.com/Global/story.asp?S=8670875&nav=menu7_2_5_2)
-We are home to several auto manufacturing plants and supplier and VW just announced they are coming to Chattanooga that already runs in public transporation buses on natural gas.
-We are also home to Eastman Chemical that is leading in coal gasification.
