- Founder of several environmental organizations including one when I was 14 and avid green movement proponent and volunteer. I've also developing the alternative energy plan for the Black Star Co-op (I'm on the board of directors).
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Finally! A plan that makes sense. Let's start with cars. Some vehicles will always have to run off of fossil fuel for power requirements and that nostalgia factor. We have enough resources to keep America's existing fleet running while developing alternatives for the future. Natural gas is one of those excellent alternatives for business vehicles and wind is perfect for powering our family's electric vehicles and homes. But as for electricity, we mustn't forget that there are other sources of electrical power including geothermal, wave action, solar, methane as-a-byproduct, etc. What we need is a big and bold kick-off plan -- I believe the Pickens Plan could be just that. A way to get the country on the right track. After that, with a little help, everything else should fall into place to help us repair the damage done to our environment and make the U.S. energy independent.

I noticed that you are in Austin and thought your might be interested in knowing a little more about Natural Gas Vehicle options here in Central Texas.
The Honda GX isn't the only EPA approved CNG vehicle. I drive a new EPA Certified Ford Focus with leather interior and audiophile sound system with Sync and with the tax credits and rebates, it cost much less than the Civic GX. Other vehicles are also available and more are coming soon. Click here for additional details.
There is still only one public fueling station in Austin, but I am confident we'll see more built soon. I'm even looking at putting one in myself. In the meantime, you can always fill up at home the way Boone does with a Phill from Fox Service Company.

Please take a look at the executive summary on my page. We are in the process of establishing a nonprofit innovation laboratory in Houston Texas dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue technology careers and to the development of the next-generation of strategic technologies to meet our current global challenges. Alternative energy is a major focus of our program.
Right now, we are in need of people willing to sponsor our efforts or to finding sponsorship for us.
We believe this can be the beginning of an effort that can spread to other areas of the country and create a critical mass of new technology ideas and innovative technologists to meet the challenges.

PLEASE email the Pickens Plan video to everyone you know. Ask them to join. Ask them to pass it along. Time is of the essence. If every member had 10 friends join today, we could put the number of members over 1 million very quickly!
If we can not get critical numbers how can we take advantage of this golden opportunity? High gas prices have "woken up" America to our plight and a paradigm shift like not other is in the wind. We need to do this now. So many new members write "I want to help, what can I do?" This is a start. We may not get to the next step if we can not get this one done.
Our leaders can not ignore millions of members of the Pickens Plan. We are not there yet. One person can make a difference.
