Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I have been interested in Alternative energy since I was a kid growing up in New Zealand during the Oil shock of the seventies, I loved the science shows on various ideas that floated around at the time.
Have since written Alternative energy design software.

Installed two small off grid systems
Built a test system for above mentioned software
Designed and built solar brief case for my eeepc net book

What excites you about this campaign?

Helping the World get over its smoking (coal) problem and the fever that it is inducing.

What do you want to do to help?

Open to ideas, suggestions and offers.
I have a degree in Applied Physics, and readily understand technologies advanced or other wise.
Interested in working on embedded devices to measure metrics for off grid systems, both on supply and demand sides with the idea that such systems can tell user when they have enough stored energy to meet their critical requirements budget, and how much they have available for things like tv or running things like washing machines.
