Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have not had that much personal experience in the field of alternative energy but, coming from a generation that grew up having to deal with the first "leap" in prices in the 70's it has been something that has long weighed on my mind.
What excites you about this campaign?
At last someone with the balls to stand up and say enough is enough ! And for that someone to be what the current administration would reguard as "one of their own" beings that Mr. Pickens comes from Texas as well as the "oil Family" that Bush claims does not dictate his ideas or direction. I am proud to say that I feel Mr Pickens has hit it right on the head. And for him to have the guts to go green instead of staying in the "black" is even better.
What do you want to do to help?
ANYTHING I CAN !!!!!

haha North Ave Trade School?? I havent yet heard it called that. I'm going to major in Environmental Engineering. And its kinda funny because my dad is in the oil buisness and tells me "Your worrying me." haha
Yeah, I actually talked to the President of my school and I'm trying to get SGA (Student Gov Association) to help me put together a plan to reduce greenhouse emissions at my school. www.PresidentsClimateCommitment.com I dont return to school until late August, but I have an appointment set up with the president and hopefully we can get something going. It will take a few years to complete and actually get started (I'll be gone to Ga Tech by then) but maybe I can get it going! I'm also going to try to get a chapter of SEAC going at my school too (www.seac.org) and see if I can raise money through that group to help with the Presidents Climate Commitment plan.
Yes I have. Thanks for your concern. My first step was changing the lightbulbs in my apartment to the CFL's. And besides walking to campus, I called around to see if there were any energy providers in my area that used renewable energy. There were not, as I live in a small town, so I spent a little more in buying the energy saving appliances. And I have recently talked my dad into putting solar panels on his weekend house. He took my advice after realizing how much money he's saving by using one of those energy saving water heaters (which he looked into himself!) I was proud! haha =)
