Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Son of former Oil Jobber, observer of crisis seeking intelligent answers.
What excites you about this campaign?
I have often thought that wind and solar were under utilized resources.
What do you want to do to help?
Every winter the wind speeds reported on Charlotte TV for the Smoky Mountains, and specifically, the Boone, NC area, where I ski, are 70+. There has to be an opportunity to harness some of this energy. Ironically, the main obstacle may be the environmentalists not wanting to have the towers obscuring the skyline, i.e. Ted Kennedy and others on wind turbines on Nantucket. What a mess, we need reasonableness. We also need more natural gas home stations, and the NG vehicles now only available in CA

The problem with Nantucket is the wealthy people living there think Turbines are an eyesore. You can put Turbines anywhere, the take up less then an acre footprint. The wind doesn't even have to blow hard it just has to be consistant. They just have to be near transmission and distribution lines.
