I see you are from Topeka. So am I. I just joined today.
I hope there are enough of us that a Topeka group can
get together soon. I've contacted a couple of Topeka
people whose names I don't recognize as well as a
Jan Price (and Jim)
I am meeting with the Shawnee County Commission @ 9:00 AM Monday Jan 26 at the Shawee County Courthouse. If you can attend also it would be great. Shawnee County, WIBW-TV, and the Capital-Journal are interested in converting to compressed natural gas to power their cars and trucks. The busses in Topeka should also run on CNG. I have tried with the City of Topeka but they have shown little interest. The fact is that when the manager form of government was voted in for the city of Topeka it exempted itself from the citizen petition section of the 1st amendment of the United States Constution that allows citizens to demand a vote on a issue by petition.
The result is if the council does not want to do anything they cannot be forced and they know it.
Good afternoon, welcome to our site thank you for your intrest in helping make us energy independent.Your help in contacting your friends and family and tell them to join the plan. We need our voice to be heard at all levels of government.
Thanks for joining!
