Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

Camping in a tent we used campfire to cook, see, and heat dish water, other than that NONE. I am an ordinary Grandmother of six, a published author, no longer working, and mostly home bound.

What excites you about this campaign?

I have been quite concerned with our declining economy, the plight of the blue collar worker in America over the past thirty years, dependence on ALL foreign trade, and the impact on the former middle class of this once Great Nation.

I have watched our once Great Nation turn into a nation of consumers, from a nation of producers. I think that this campaign can help us gain back our pride, and restore our position in the world as the Greatest Nation who are making a difference for our future generations, like my six grandchildren.

What do you want to do to help?

When I wrote my book in the year of 2000, I just wanted to tell a short story of what life was like in the 1950s to my first grandchild Emily. I wanted her to learn about my deceased relatives that made a great impact on my childhood. The story tells young people today of my Great Aunt and Uncle's lovely farm nestled in the Blue Mountains of Pennsylvania. Today all the out buildings have been torn down, the fruit trees, and mostly all of the trees on the 85 acre farm have been cut down. Only the house stands on the property today. I write about the closeness of the extended family, and interjected many historical facts in order to educate the young people who read it.

I believe in progress, however I also believe we need to bring back the love of the land, closeness of family, and sense of pride of being self sufficient.

I want to steer my six grandchildren, and the youth of today toward a healthier, wholesome, and life sustaining direction. I want them to learn how to tap into the psyche of our patriots, and pioneers to rebuild this nation and restore it to it's former glory.

I am presently partially disabled from a fall in 2004. I can't do the leg work I once could do, however I can blog, and post bulletins on many websites like My Space, You Tube, Face Book and eons. If you search my pen name: Diane Dunwell-Hoffman you will see I have produced many blogs and video slides that have gotten recognition.

The American Alzheimer Assoc. posted my Alzheimer Prayer slide on their site. A news organization picked up on my Merv Griffin Memorial slide. My two John Denver video slides have gotten thousands of views, and many positive comments.

He will meet with everyone he needs to so they understand it. To end our dependence on foreign oil Boone is looking to wind and natural gas as a bridge to an ultimate solution. Only by developing alternative energy can we decrease the $700 billion dollars a year going to foreign countries--that is the intent of the Pickens Plan. I hope you join Boone after Tuesday's debate at the e-Rally. That's a great time to express your opinion and voice your concerns.
