Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I am currently an engineer with NASA, but have done formal and informal research on both the science and economics of alternative energy. This includes funded undergraduate research with the joint participation of my college physics and econ departments, in which I worked with government researchers working on nuclear fusion technology and the economics of wind power. I then completed a graduate degree in plasma physics, and am currently working on an M.B.A. I'm extremely interested in finding and implementing the most technologically and economically feasible forms of energy in both the short and long term, and feel that my joint knowledge of both the scientific and economic realities make me a valuable asset to this search.
What excites you about this campaign?
I am extremely excited that someone with the voice and credibility to influence those in power is getting into this campaign so energetically. I have been following T. Boone Pickens' alternative energy plans for some time now, and hope to become involved.
What do you want to do to help?
If you contact me, I will find some way to help! More specifically, we started a "Green Technology Forum" at NASA Glenn Research Center, and might be able to plan something at one of these events.

Jeff-

This is Andrew, the OH-11 district leader for PickensPlan. I'd like to invite you to get plugged in to our group and find out more about local issues, events, and solutions. We'd love to have the perspective of an engineer and a student who has already taken a lot of time to study the issues at play here. Hope to see you soon!

Hello. My name is Adam. I have been developing an incredible new design of windmill. This project is in jeopardy as my financial backer has defaulted and now relatively minor debts are becoming legal issues. This project holds the promise of reducing wind power costs by 1/2 and also providing large amounts for lower investments. Also these machines can be installed on existing wind farms to increase output on the same real estate as these machines utilize wind 100 ft & below. I need help so I am reaching out. Adam

I am looking for micro wind companies with a track record ( not easy to find ) that I can invest in, any leads would be greatly appreciated.
I have found one in N. Dakota
Promana ticker PSLU did a reverse stock split and its assets were taken over via a merger by Crownbutte Wind Power on July 31st 2008, Crownbutte board replaced Promana board July 31st 2008
Crownbutte completed a private placement Aug 1st 2008 to build, own
and operate an approved 200 megawatt wind project with 134 turbines in
southwestern North Dakota estimated cost to build $30,000,000.
Project value upon completion and before tax credits is $50,000,000.
CBWP has been consulting for and building wind power farms in North
Dakota since 1999.
Crownbutte Wind Power
111 5th Ave NE
Mandan, ND 58554
www.crownbutte.com

Stock in new entity is available next few days ticker CBWP .

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hey Jeff,

I am so glad to be able to chat with you. I know that I will learn a lot.

What do you need to go forward with your research on nuclear fusion technology and the economics of wind power? Private Funding? If so, how much, when will you need it and who will be in this effort with you? What is your timeline? Do you have a business plan or do you want to work for someone else in this area?

My theory (for whatever it is worth) is that 90% of the time the brilliant entrepreneur just needs the financial support and legal infrastructure to implement, and the people with money just need some brilliant, loyal and passionate entrepreneur to help them make more money.

Thanks,

Kim
