Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

My production company is putting together a major concert event tour
called The Carbon Zero Tour (carbonzerotour.com) featuring multiplatinum
selling headliners that we have secured including Paul Oakenfold, Pete
Yorn and my band Color Wall. Our goal is to conduct
all travel on this major tour in low emission vehicles. The tour will
take place throughout California in the spring of 2009. Our goal was to
use hydrogen but due to a lack of infrastructure, we are focusing on
CNG.

What excites you about this campaign?

EVERYTHING! Mr Pickens is dead on in his plan. We can't continue to have the future of the United States' energy imported from countries that aren't our allies. It's insane!

What do you want to do to help?

I want to tie PickensPlan in with all aspects of our tour. This will mean exposure to many millions of impressionable young minds! I'm a rock star and people listen to what I say. I believe in this campaign and want to preach this cause on this upcoming tour, including all of the pre-tour promotions. I'm going to be interviewed on the radio here in LA next week and you can be assured I will be talking about PickensPlan!

The CarbonZero Tour

I received the great news on Friday that one of our affiliates has secured Chesapeake Energy as an official sponsor of our CarbonZero tour. I still haven't had the pleasure of speaking with anyone at PickensPlan regarding it's involvement in our tour. Does anyone have the contact information of anyone at Pickens Plan involved in advertising/marketing?

I truly believe Pickens Plan's involvement with this tour will lead to hundreds of thousands of New Energy Army activists!!!!

Don't know how you came across me, but I may be able to help you on the carbon tour. I used to run my own sound and lighting company a few years back, and still have lots of contacts for venues, booking, etc. in the Lincoln, NE area, including rock-solid ties to the World Famous The Zoo Bar, the longest running blues bar in the US in the same location - 35 years and going strong - venue for the legends; B.B. King, Luther Allison, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Stevie Ray and Jimmy Vaughn, Elvin Bishop, Robert Cray, Indigenous, Coco Montoya, E.C. Scott, Albert King, Magic Slim, Martha Reeves are just some of the artists I've seen perform on stage there. If you get the tour up and going, Lincoln has a strong alternate scene. I used to do sound for 311 when they were just a local band doing the Omaha-Lincoln scene. The lead for Maroon 5, well, I used to do sound for his first band, Happy Dog, and his second, Square, on open stage nights ten years ago.
