Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I've been interested in alternative energy, specifically fuel cell innovation for about 12 years. I have studied several differing types of energy alternatives. I support independent personal power systems for all homes and businesses. This would illiminate the need for a power grid and create more industry related jobs.
What excites you about this campaign?
Independence from foreign sources for an essential resource.
Business professionals and industries getting behind a cause to make the U.S.A strong and respected.
We have the resources, technology and intelligence to do better as a Nation.
What do you want to do to help?
What do you need? We need the politicians to get the hell out of the way and let us "Getter done".

Dear Mr. Pyper:

Thank you for writing me regarding your support for oil drilling in the United States. I appreciate hearing your views on this important matter.

Just this week, I filled up my gas tank in Washington State at $4.45 a gallon. I understand and share your concern about how high gas prices are affecting families, businesses, and our entire economy… Continue

I have some questions

As I was looking at some facts and statistics on the U.S. Energy Information Administrations website, http://www.eia.doe.gov/basics/quickoil.html, it seems that World Production vs. World consumption has increased to keep pace, U.S. consumption is forecast to decrease slightly this year. Most of the U.S. consumption, 70% is for Transportation, so are we really going down the right road to gain what we are after? If we were able to reduce our imports by 30-40% would US consumers see a decrease in… Continue

Cathy McMorris

For anyone that is interested here is a copy of the letter I received back from Cathy McMorris-Rodgers. I'm sure she probably sent the same letter out to everyone.

Dear Jeff,

One of the challenges facing all Americans right now is the high cost of energy. Energy is critical to our social, economic and national security. We can and we must start meeting American energy needs with American resources.

That's where most of our group discussions will start. Check out other groups for specific topics discussed by people from all over the country.

Jeff,
I read your comments and thought they sounded very similar to how I felt 6 months ago. I got more involved in a discussion group on Yahoo with a good mix of people from both sides. I enjoy a good discussion of opinions, and try to work toward reaching an agreement on common goals. Some of the members of the Pickens Plan are very good at this, when California Conservationists can find common ground with Southern Conservatives, we have a movement that can bridge the gap between Republicans and Democrats.

I am trying to gather support for Alternative Energy programs in our area, and I look forward to hearing more about your knowledge of fuel cell systems. One of my goals is to start a home business building small, affordable, off-grid power systems that anyone can buy and use to reduce or eliminate high power bills.

There are many discussion groups on the Pickens Plan website covering a wide range of topics related to Alternative Energy and the Environment. I am the District Leader for the Spokane area (WA-05 group). We could use some active discussions and new ideas in our group. I am trying to promote Alternative Energy and job training programs to the Spokane County Commissioners and City of Spokane, to make sure that we have trained workers for the "Green Economy". We need programs covering everything from building windmills, to improving energy efficiency of public buildings, or converting diesels to run on liquid natural gas.

Come join us at: http://push.pickensplan.com/group/districtgroupwa05

Sincerely,

Robert Schultz

Hello Jeff,
Welcome from the Washington 5th Congressional District Pickens Plan Group. I’m leader of the WA 5th district group, which the Pickens Plan Army has started and has been growing since Dec. 2008. We’d like to have you as a member, just search for WA-05 in the Pickens Plan Home Page right side, “Find Your Group”. On this page you’ll be instructed to type in your zip code and our page should appear. The Washington 5th Dist, is in the top 20 rated Pickens Plan Army groups in the nation! We meet every other week and attendance isn’t mandatory.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting around to welcoming you personally. The Pickens Plan has gone through reorganization as a result of smaller groups dying. The result is the most prosperous groups remain and members are urged to re-organize into their congressional district groups. The most popular groups still remain.

Thank You,
Richard Wickberg, Spokane WA

(1) Contact Congress: Please Go to THE PLEDGE (very top of this page) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done! Thanks. There's also a FAX in pledge form there, after you do the congress email, there will be a form,if you can print, fill that out and FAX it in, we will use these to affect change and direction with the new administration. So, Fax the Pledge too if you can!

(2) Personal Energy Plan: In addition to political support and action here, I encourage you to take personal action, a Personal Energy Plan in which you take control of your electricity. I have helped other members learn about saving energy by conservation methods and have helped other members learn about home wind/solar systems. I am glad to help you learn and answer any questions. On my page is info and links that will help you learn about power use, conservation, and home generation. These are things I have done myself at my own residence, and Jeff I can help you do the same.

(3) Add A Friend: Everybody needs friends, right? By every comment or under users pictures on the site you'll see links to "+ Add as Friend". This will send a friends request to that user. This makes it easy to introdce yourself and meet people here, it's great. Add me if you like, I'd be honored to be your first friend here. I have an interesting and useful background if you want to have a look at my page. Adding friends, Send Friend Request, makes it easier to communicate, ask questions, talk to each other. You can search users by city, state, college, etc. and "+ Add as Friend". You may even find members from spokane,WA. This community is a great place to meet people and make friends, like me. I now have made friends all over the United States.

(4) Tell A Friend: Please email the Pickens Plan video to everyone you know. www.pickensplan.com. Ask them to JOIN. Ask them to pass it along. Time is of the essence. If every member had 10 friends join today, we could put the number of members over 1 million very quickly!
