I am asking everyone to please take petitions to school or work or wherever you are going today! It is very easy. Kim Anderson was able to gather 75 signatures Thursday and Friday while Christmas shopping and running errands. Everyone wants to get off of foreign oil; we just need to gather their names. WE CAN DO THIS, with everyone’s help.

Doug has been steady at the tiller with consistent effort and kept at it until he was done. I am inspired by his tenaciousness. I hope you are motivated by his success

I look forward to working with you. There are some great folks here. If I can answer any ?'s, just ask. I will be happy to point you in the right direction.

I believe very strongly that this effort, when big and loud enough, can insure a paradgm shift of thought on energy throughout this country that will force the change we desire. I hope you will help with the signed pledges. If you find it easy, feel free to get more than 10. I have started the 100CLUB for folks that fax/send in 100 or more. Check out the group page to see how others have done it. Some real leaders and terrific folks there. (click on the group icon on my page for the link).

Also, check out what groups are already established in Oregon - maybe you can work with them to get something going- 1. to build numbers 2. to build awareness. Pledge drive, rally, etc.

I have just returned from a 3 week trip to Denmark and Germany and continue to be amazed by the efforts of these countries with the addition of Spain to initiate huge programs in alternative energy solutions for their countries. Germany and Denmark are at the 20+ % of electricity being generated by wind. Spain is above 40% of its electricity being produced by wind. There is much written on the Internet about these efforts and incentives to homeowners, farmers and business people as well. We have been kept in the dark for so long about what others are doing to solve their energy needs, cut their carbon footprint and reduce global warming. America is only 5% of the world’s population but we use 25% of the world’s oil. There is something fundamentally wrong with that equation! We need to change our mindset and the mindset of our legislators to choose the right path for the future of America and our dependency on foreign oil. Contact and "Friend" the New Energy Army Regional Leader for your state; you can find them to the right, in the Featured Members section. Let him/her know that I sent you there and you are interested in becoming an organizer.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PICKENS U We are recruiting "Campus Coordinators" for colleges and universities to represent the Pickens Plan on campus. We are looking for someone who can create a college page on the Pickens Plan site and also on Facebook encouraging folks to sign up for the Pickens Plan.
If you are connected to a college or university in your state, can be a campus coordinator, or can help find a campus coordinator, please let me know so we can get the process rolling.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership
2) influence public policy.
3) If you know someone who is in the press, or someone who blogs, get them to cover this and ask those in the public eye to support this plan.
