Hi Jenny

The clock is ticking. Both Thomas Freidman and The Gang of 20 have told us (see DAILY PICKENS) the only way to change America's energy policy is to build this historical, grass roots effort to un-ignorable heights. There are less than 75 days until Inauguration Day. We must concentrate on the job at hand. CAN YOU GET 10 signed pledges faxed in asap? Many hands make light work.

PLEASE,
Kim

Hi Jenny

Hope you are still here!

Please congratulate Dianna Brown, she has joined the 100CLUB today- for those that fax/send in more that 100 signed pledges! In addition to her pledge push success, she drives the Welcome Wagon often, providing a steady and passionate hand in sharing our goals to new members.
She is a Picken's Hero!

Best to you,
Kim

Hi Jenny

Glad you asked!

1. PLEDGES:
We begged for weeks for petitions.... we got them finally 2 weeks ago. They are called pledges. Go to THE PLEDGE at the top on the blue header- download some pledges, get them signed and fax them to the 888# on the bottom. When you get 100 let us know we wil invite you to the "100CLUB" We would love to have you. There are over 75 people right now who have taken the challenge- that's 7,500 new supporters in short order.

2. Pickens U is a new part of our site that asks colleges and universities to put up a facebook site- go to Pickens U on the front page. Looking for campus leaders to put up a presence for their school. A great way to bring more young people to Boone's plan.

Hope you can join our team to get this historical effort to the finish line.
Best
Kim

Hi Jenny

Glad to have you here. Thank you for your offer of meaningful support for this historical effort! Need folks to help push pledges, and Pickens U. Look forward to hearing from you. 400,000 is not 1 million! Can you get some pledges signed?

Best,
Kim

Hello,

Please take a look at the executive summary on my page. We are in the process of establishing a nonprofit innovation laboratory in Houston Texas dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue technology careers and to the development of the next-generation of strategic technologies to meet our current global challenges. Alternative energy is a major focus of our program.
Right now, we are in need of people willing to sponsor our efforts or to finding sponsorship for us.
We believe this can be the beginning of an effort that can spread to other areas of the country and create a critical mass of new technology ideas and innovative technologists to meet the challenges.

Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Norman

Jenny,

We all rely totally on TRANSPORTATION -- the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We do not depend on oil, we depend on transportation -- we cannot avoid the need for transportation it is a true dependency that will never go away. Unfortunately transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking.

The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, however it is a stop gap solution because NG will peak in about 20 years. IMO, Gore is focused in the right direction: massive efficiency improvement is the only approach that is sustainable long term, and economically feasible. (IMO, Gore is focused on the wrong reasons -- but on doing the right thing -- transition from fossil fuels, quantum efficiency improvements, and electrification of transportation.)

ETT implementation will accelerate reaching the mutual goals of both sides of the political isle faster than any alternative fuel scheme. Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT)™ is patented transportation technology that can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh than electric cars or trains, it is cleaner, lower cost, safer, faster, and electric (so it can use Pickens (or Gore's) wind power or PV to it's highest and best use). Jenny, a possible compromise might involve a round-table discussion bringing together Pickens, John McCain and Barack Obama; a kind of tripartite conversation during which we might explore private enterprise solutions and government policy responses.

The long-term goal should be a public-private partnership that effectively restructures our energy economy by providing appropriate performance-linked incentives to encourage additional investment. What do you think?

I don't care who is pushing the agenda, its solving the problem that counts regardless of your politics. So I agree with you Jenny, Lead, follow or get out of the way - so we can get something accomplished for the sake of our childrens future.
