- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- I have half the parts built for my micro-hydro power system to be installed in the creek adjacent to my property. It takes longer to build with used and adapted parts than a turnkey system like the turbines that you just hang in a creek and plug into, but I haven't found anything that is affordable and appropriate to my high-volume, low-head stretch of creek.
When I get the generator built and installed, I want to begin work on my electric car. I need to design and build it from scratch to accomodate my environment and application.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- As much as I love the idea of individual power systems to retain personal control of each consumers' costs, I also recognize the efficiencies of scale that come with a large utility, like a wind farm as opposed to individual rooftop windmills.
- What do you want to do to help?
- Share ideas and assist in local construction of solar systems, etc.

I am one of the welcome wagon crew. We are all volunteers. Out of sheer numbers I greet daily I have a paste and copy note.
It is not intended to overwhelm you, just give you a direction and some contacts.
We are a voluntary community of individuals who are placing our combined support behind T. Boone Pickens and his efforts to send our government a clear (heard) message that we must reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil through the use of all domestic energy alternatives. This site is a place to interact with fellow Pickens Plan supporters, keep up with events and opportunities to help get more involvement.

Looks like the much talked about stimulus package passed. Mr. Obama has voiced that eliminating the dependence of foreign oil is a top priority. Now is the time we hammer our elected officials to allow companies and the private sector to run with new tech and needed infrastruture changes; allowing grants & insentives to help us achieve the energy independance goal!!!

There is a group for almost everything. The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.
