- I do not have a great deal of experience with this subject (I have been trying to learn as much as I can over the past 2 months) however I have a great deal of experience in project management, as well as the ability to get things done no matter how much hard work is involved.
- What excites you about this campaign?
- Currently and for the past 10+ years I have been in the business of managing large physician practices. My specialty is fixing problem practices/businesses that have been poorly managed or abused by mismanagement. Much in the way our natural resources and our energy policy has been handled over the years. I use a combination of looking at problem totally and applying common sense with a large dose of looking outside the box for a solution to get things done in an efficient manner. This campaign excites me for many reasons. The following is brief list of why:
I love a good challenging problem that needs to be solved and I want to be a part of this solution
we can rid our country of foreign oil and thus rid our country of all problems faced with depending on countries that dont like us all that much
it is coming from the private sector and not being shoved down our throats in an ineffcient way from the federal government
it uses our natural resources in an environmentally friendly way
it will help put my fellow Americans to work and keep our hard earned dollars here
the potential growth of this industry and being a part of it

It is always nice to find folks tht are willing to roll up their sleeves
I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.
Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!
I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.
Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!
There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.
This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES
The creators of this site have given us the ability, with little effort, to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Please go to "THE PLEDGE" (at the very top of this page on the blue header). On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue, and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS". Fill in the short, standard form. Done!
DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE PLEDGE
Carry some copies with you and get as many as you can signed and faxed back to Boone. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a part of the "100 CLUB" by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will add you to that growing list!
BRING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN
The more members we have the bigger our voice to Congress! With enough members, they will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who will certainly try to derail this historic effort.
THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost. Now is our chance to be a part of the solution!

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input.
