Jim,
i can't even think who "Pipeliner" is; couldn't care less. I figure that on any board there will be political axes to grind. I just stay away from it because neither of us are going to change each other's minds. I am on there to learn about NG and will listen to any reasonable and considered discussion, plain and simple. Your presence is missed. Best, MB

Come back to GHS. Forget about the "ijits". You bring a lot to the board, which a number of us appreciate. Best.

Happy New Year Jim,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Jim, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

WELCOME and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

Just taking the time to come to this site is your first step. Now onto the second one. Reading this and acting on it.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON -
This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

You CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out Pickens "August Call to Action"- for a course of action! Here is an informative video "Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting": http://www.pickensplan.com/news/2008/08/04/video-of-the-topeka-town-hall

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch. I do updates on new member numbers and perinent info.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS

THANKS AGAIN WW DRIVERS

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have been in the oil & gas exploration business for thirty six years as a landman.

I know a little about natural gas, where to find it and how to get it out of the ground.
What excites you about this campaign?
Making natural gas the transportation fuel of choice, is the only thing that will allow this country to prosper. It will pay it's own way, it is available now and it is the way to a stable source of reasonably priced energy for the next fifty to seventy five years.

It will solve the clean air problems, it will strengthen the dollar and balance the trade deficit and most of all it will create millions of good paying jobs right here in America.

If Natural Gas were the primary transport ion fuel, I believe that with the tertiary Wilcox finds by the majors in the deep water GOM and an alliance with Mexico and Canada, there is enough oil between us to make it unnecessary to import foreign oil. Exporting gas to Mexico and importing oil from Mexico solves a lot of environmental problems for Mexico City and allows Mexico to offer a stable source of reasonable priced energy, attracting business from all over the World.

It allows the U. S. and Canada to do the same. Jobs will follow the energy. I think Shreveport should be the Natural gas epicenter. politicians from E Texas and N Louisiana should ally in support of a great Natural Gas Research and Technology Development Center jointly Hosted by LSU and whichever of those Texas Universities they want . It will give the movement the prestige it rightly deserves and keep the world's eye focused on a part of the country that has the Red River Waterway and a Port, to facilitate the shipping worldwide of the products made by those companies locating in this area. Shreveport has room to double in size. Of course, they will compete with Pittsburgh for the same markets, so timeliness is essential.
I think the Obama people are better organized than the McCain people. I think the Obama people are positioned better than the McCain people to pass sweeping legislation in the first hundred days of the next Congress.
What do you want to do to help?
Whatever I can that doesn't involve heavy lifting.
