- Dear Mr. Pickens,
The solution is simply to bring the civilization to the wind farms. When that happens, only local transmission lines will be needed. The "ecovillage" would need water and a few roads. We would all drive electric vehicles and heat and cool with electric power. Using straw bale construction, we would build very affordable, energy efficient housing and other buildings.

- Continue with my grant writing to obtain funds for a pilot plant for a Solar Furnace CHP system. Wind is OK, but concentrated solar energy using better technology than is under construction, is the energy solution. NO COAL NEED APPLY HERE FOR A JOB
Folks,
We do not need coal except for some very limited coal tar based drugs. All of our future energy can be based on solar energy, generated and used very locally, e.g., on the farm. We use concentrated solar collectors which heats special oil to 450 to 550 degrees F. This oil is stored in a "Thermal Energy Battery" (a large, insulated tank), and is then used as the load draws on the heat. The load can be electricity, heat for structures, refrigeration and air conditioning and mechanical forc… Continue

Click on PLAN under about the plan. You will see the many layers we are addressing. Also look in daily Pickens-Events-Recourses.
Please come back to these sites often as changes take place regularly. Some are long, please; take the time to get all the details.
Everyone has the option on their profile page to do many things. Everywhere it says (Edit) click and you can customize.
Find (settings) upper right corner of your page. You can update your profile, change the manner you receive things. You can chose to preview the comments coming your way before it can be viewed by others on your page. You can accept or delete the comment.
Also; every time you write a comment you’ll see a little tiny (symbol) of sort in the upper right corner of that comment or post; click on it and delete your note. You can still do it months later.

Please really put some deep thought let them hear your vision for the country/world.

We also need to keep hammering our elected officials to allow companies and the private sector to run with new tech and needed infrastructure changes; allowing grants & incentives to help us achieve the energy independence goal!!!
There is a group for almost everything. Type any word of a topic that you would like to see. Do not be afraid to go clickin crazy!!!
The Forums/discussions on this site are many and you’ll probably find something that interests or concerns you. Some are very long and were started months ago. For the ones that concern you, please keep in mind, events are remembered and relayed differently by those commenting, which as we all too well know equals at least three sides to the event.

I appreciate your idea!
I have the state of the art wind management and load storage/leveling systems of which that idea will require... In fact, I have the backbone for the initial local grid that will make the new transmission actually operative and practical.
Also, my systems are already providing power to communities where there is no wind. "POWER ANYWHERE ANYTIME" I can provide high-tech, low footprint generation, storage and delivery to ANY new remote "off-the-grid" community. :-)

Lee Taylor said… - for Ted and others, in order to post anything on any of the Pickens Plan boards, all you have to do is pull up whatever it is you want to post, highlight it all with your mouse, (left-click and hold, while dragging your icon to cover and highlight all you want to copy, release the click at the end), and then press "copy" at the top of your headings bars.
Then go to whichever comment wall you wish to post on, click within the comment wall to get your icon flashing within the wall, and click "Paste". Your previously selected text will magically appear. Then click on "Add Comment", and your post is posted.

I'd like to see your Summary of the Solar Furnace CHP project. And since I just finished a DRIVING (UGH!!) trip across the bottom edge of the Lower 48, (Mississippi to California and back), I am intimately familiar how much solar energy is being wasted in this country.
