Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I am a spec home builder in the Bethesda- Chevy Chase area. I am currently building a 4500 SF home that is 2/3 completed and it has a 3.2Kw solar array on the roof, 2 solar hot water collectors on the roof, radiant floor heat that is powered primarily from the rooftop array, and a very high performance insulation package, bamboo flooring, a white roof to reflect heat and an architectural design that takes advantage of the sun's seasonal characteristics. I have 2 similiar projects that include geo-thermal ground loops added to the solar systems described above.

What excites you about this campaign?

That a big guy in the world gets it.

What do you want to do to help?

Tell my story, let people see the homes I build so that they can see what's possible.

With a good energy plan, we drill now, the oil is available for 15 years, so in 7 or so years we can be a net exporting nation again which helps pay for our renewable energy to solve climate change- HaveFun
