What is the compression ratio typically used with OTTO cycle engines. Since NG has a higher temp ignition point --a higher compression ration can be used before knocking occurs. This should yield greater efficiency as well (additional benefit to NG) because of the higher ratio. Anyone have expereince here to relate or papers to consult

In as little rambling as I can accomplish, the concept relates to the fluid Water, but in practical application, we will be using non-toxic but highly reactive propellants (similarly to the way the Sterling Engine always cites 'air' for the sake of understanding, but is using Liquid Nigrogen, etc.). Mainly through focus on improvement of parts, we are aiming to achieve a very high overall efficiency, and are fairly confident that we can achieve real working parts exhibiting the requirement for only 20°F in difference (easily charged by liquid solar collectors, etc).
