- Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?

- Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
- My son is a vice president, PHD chemical engineer associated with JBEI.COM (Joint biotechnology engineering institute) whose goal is to develop alternative energy sources. As I understand it any significant breakthrough which would result in a successful alternative fuel would require at least a decade to develop the infrastructure necesssary to provide it in quantity and at a reasonable cost.
It looks to me more like 20 years given the success to date.
In any case we have to utilize what we have and not gamble too much on what we don't have. Boone Pickens at least has a doable plan that will act as a bridge until we develop something better. I am not all that concerned about global warming. Increasingly there are more and more questions and inconsistencies about that theory- and that is what it is -- a theory. Russian scientists are predicting a long period of much colder weather. They say, along with others, that CO2 is a result- not a cause. Who knows???
- What excites you about this campaign?
- It is a plan of action- practical,proven and doable. Most of the wind power that we have been getting lately has emanated from Washington DC- If only we could harnass that...And
MY DADDY WAS AN OIL MAN. There is a bit of a "wildcatter" in both of us..
- What do you want to do to help?
- ? Presentations to groups- I think I am a decent public speaker with a sense of humor tho I might get
more attention if I was a little more indecent.... And I have an engineering/private business background..
