I have no prior experience, but I believe that our countries future depends on alternative energy. I graduated from Siena College in 1997 with a minor in Environmental Studies.

What excites you about this campaign?

Not only does this campaign fight the transference of wealth and our dependency on foreign oil, it also incorporates proper custodianship of our planet.

What do you want to do to help?

I want to ensure a good future for my children and grand children.

I haven't been able to figure out where on the pickensplan website I can find details on what the organization is proposing. Also, I'm curious to read the information in H.R. 1 that is similar to pickensplan so that I can ask Congress to keep in those items in the bill.
I have worked for a canvasing/lobbying group called CCE. We went door to door to raise support for the state senate and assembly to pass environmentally sound laws. My experience is that specificity, in addition to personalization, is key to getting government to do what it is you want.
I'm also wondering if pickensplan has any such grassroots efforts. This facebook like website is great but it doesn't seem to have attracted many people from our district. Thanks.
