Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:

I've saved over $11,500 and 2881 gallons of gas since I started driving PRIUS hybrid cars. My home is runs on WE Energies 100% renewable, carbon neutral, electricity, and natural gas. All my major appliances are energy efficient versions, and I've got most of my lighting on low watt versions. I've sold 6 PRIUS automobiles, and have been talking people and businesses into the 100% renewable "Energy for Tomorrow" option with WE Energies in SE Wisconsin.

What excites you about this campaign?

I worked on the guidance system for the Apollo LEM Vehicle, and I lived thru WW II, and I know Al Gore is correct when he says America needs to cooperate to get off foreign oil within 10 years. I've lectured on the book "Limits to Growth" by Meadows & Meadows, since the 70's, and am now reading the 30 year update which is has become available. It clearly shows we have to change the way we live, and elect a leader who can inspire us to return to the noble visions of America's Founders.

What do you want to do to help?

I'm a retired engineer, computer scientist, and the Diocesan Bishop for the 9 state Midwest Diocese of The Liberal Catholic Church. I have been active on the Obama campaign because we need a leader and congress that can inspire this country to make the huge changes needed to meet the multidimensional challenges of the 21st century. I will do whatever is in my power to not only walk the talk myself, but inspire all I can to the great changes needed. We can't afford to pick low hanging fruit, but must have a broadband focus to do it all; education, energy, global cooperation, health care, and value added work for Americans.
