Hello Jimmy,

In addition to reaching out and recruiting new and current members of our respective districts/regions, I'd like to invite Picken's Plan members to Palomar College, San Marcos,CA on April 22nd, 2009 (Earth Day) for an environmentally themed event. At this event, I would like to organize a body of Picken's Plan, clean & green driven members dedicated to District 49 and surroundiong areas. For 33,000+ students, this will be the first of many events taking place in district 49 that I can personally assure our members.

Anyone interested? I would be able to provide AT LEAST one booth (table, chairs, and possibly canopy) so we can provide information, as well as representation for the Picken's Plan for sustainable and environmentally efficient energy alternatives. I can be contacted at either my Picken's Plan page or at tellesaj2@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your committment to a brighter and cleaner future!

Hi Jimmy, I'm basically still new here and am viewing the Pickens Plan from another good angle. I believe his plan is the only one going on the national level, like most here do. However, I feel people should not forget about what they can personally do, besides conservation, about having electric power and other forms of energy. Getting off foreign oil and Grid upgrading is a great thing, but the grid power can still be lost regardless of all those factors. Please visit my YouTube channel for my video and/or playlist about "Making An Emergency Power Backup System", and pass the ideas along. Thankyou.

Hi Jimmy,

I want to personally thank you for joining the SEE effort here on the PP. While I have not had any personal interaction with you yet, I am sure we will have much to say to each other over time. We do have a mutual friends in Mark Warren, South Dakota Wind Energy, and Dawn.

We are now expanding SEE to be able to grow a membership beyond the Picken’s Plan. Please come visit us at the Global SEE and invite your PP and personal friends to also visit.

Let's make this 50,000 Wednesday!

We have sent over 30,000 messages to our Senators in just 2 days. THIS IS THE MOMENT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. Real action is on the table. Let them hear from us.

Boone's team has made it so easy - it takes just one minute to forward a simple message to your Senators. PLEASE do it today. Please get the folks in your home, family and office to do the same.

Here is the easy link to our Senators:

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Hi, how are you. I work for a wind energy development company called Horn Wind out of Wichita Falls, TX. I've been working in wind for the past 3 years on several large-scale wind projects in North Texas and have good connections with a lot of the groups around the wind industry, ranging from Landowners to Industrial Turbine Suppliers, to Environmental Groups, to Municipalities and Power Companies including ONCOR and Brazos Electric. I have enjoyed working with the West Texas Wind Energy Consortium and its founder Greg Wortham over the past 2.5 years and I help him when I can to support landowners needing info and services for their wind development efforts. I am a member of AWEA and enjoy supporting the Association. It is very good group to join if you want to meet people in the wind industry.
What excites you about this campaign?
The prospect of acting instead of talking. I know the plan is not perfect, but it is a good plan and it moves our renewable efforts forward and that's what I am excited about.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to help refine and organize the efforts to gain support for the current Picken's plan in and around Wichita Falls to North DFW. I also would like to help with the refinement of the plan and maybe expansion of it when the time is right. Also I am willing to help in any way I can to further renewable energy efforts in this country.
