We all want to get off of foreign oil. We all want the leadership to hear us and do this. As has been clearly demonstrated this week, they will only act when forced to by circumstances and a cry from the public. WE NEED TO MAKE OUR CRY INTOLERABLE. The only way to get this done in our very small window of opportunity is to BUILD THIS ARMY.
PLEASE, tap into that passion you had the very first time you saw this plan. Rmember the WOW! moment you had, when you thought.... THIS COULD REALLY HAPPEN. and let's JUST DO IT! THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET THIS DONE.
DO WE HAVE JUST A LITTLE BIT OF EFFORT IN US?? This is not taking up arms, but it is OUR REVOLUTION. We must fight for this. The good news is it is very easy if you just try.

Glad to hear from you. I would love to discuss this with you especially as there are several political opportunities that may be available that I think others have not looked at. Please send me an email address where I can send you materials and some ideas as to why this might really work well. I do not want to sound paranoid but this is a little to public a place to start discussions.

Thanks for joining the SW MO group. Some of us are talking about having a meeting to figure out how to spread the word about PickensPlan.com.
Below is Steve's story in a nutshell:
Steve is a farmer/cattleman in Missouri. Owns a sizeable piece of land and has access to quite a bit more through leases. This land is in an area with sufficient wind at height, is high elevation, and is close to high power transmission lines and substations.
The local electric utility company is willing to buy the power at a reasonable rate.
The local political structure is willing to cooperate with the project and provide some tax incentives.
All the pieces are in place for a profitable deal. What is missing is the money, the expertise to bring a good plan to fruition and someone to put all the pieces together.
Steve approached me wondering if this would be a project I would be interested in leading; Yes, I am interested -- I could lead it or be a part of it. It is not a One-Man or One-Woman project to undertake...it is a matter of defining roles and 'making it happen'.
People have asked Steve why doesn't he do it himself?
His answer; "I raise really good cattle and get them ready for market. I do not have a clue as to how to cut them up into t-bones or how to run a grocery store. I do the part I am good at and let the other people involved do the part that they are good at. Same way with wind energy. I have the resources but have no idea as to how to generate the electric, raise the millions needed, or run the business. I just know it will work with the right person at the wheel".

I may have a great solution for you that has a long-lasting impact on your aspirations. It requires that you fully embrace a current alternative energy need in your state and I'm of the belief that you can #1 make a difference, #2 lead alternative energy in your state, #3 create the high visibility YOU need and ALTERNATIVE ENERGY needs to generate the power of momentum creating a 'fever' of sorts.
Moments ago I replied to a great gent, resident of Missouri, cattleman with land and an ambition of his own with great potential. Below is the text sent to him. I'd like you to fully absorb my message to him and to be a creative thinking in the ways you can be of genuine support to him, lead the initiative by making his project successful... in turn it becomes a first of many personal successes you will be in position to reference throughout your political life as you evolve.
Best advice I can give you is to not shape your political life by being a career politician, rather act for all the right reasons and fight! Be a champion of the people. Your success will define your life.
I wrote to Steve:
Good Morning Steve,
Good things take time... I didn't forget your request;) Being new at Pickens Plan, I needed some time to absorb the many profiles of great people joining, and weighing requests as they surface to determine how I can support, guide or lead to help make a difference. I have three men to suggest, perhaps they become our Three Wise Men?
I will send a brief note to each to alert them to your need and ask that you go ahead and knock on their Internet door and explore with each how you can create synergies for your wind project. By the way, I genuinely wish I was in your great state to work such a project from the 'ground up!' ...
Start-ups, challenging project others would rather not take on are the ones I thrive in the most!
The first two are tied to finance, and the final is political yet could be a very good conduit in which you help each other.

Steve, regarding Joe Allen -- I'm of the belief that because Joe is running for Congress, and is of your home state, it seems to me that regardless of what your party affiliation may be, you could help each other tremendously for the better good and with purpose as I like to say.
Joe may have a circle of influence that would naturally be fitting to partake in your project looking at it as perhaps a 'grass roots' effort to turn things around in your state, leading by example.
Joe will need to generate positive press by making good things happen, and I know alternative energy is his platform -- this could be something he can embrace with heart and soul. I have some suggestions to make to him directly on this matter.
You personally need to generate awareness and excitement about this 'ground breaking news & A/E effort' to lead your state by example...you need funds, and that will come by becoming highly visible. Who better than an aspiring young, fresh-faced politician?
