Welcome! GO GREEN !!!

Last Saturday when we cooked up the dream of having an Expo of our own, I honestly had my doubts that we could pull it off in such a short amount of time. You know what? It is plent of time for us to pull off a small event of 100 or fewer people. That is all that we need to get the ball rolling. Then our next Expo will be that much larger.

We have all agreed that we are calling our first expo GO GREEN Expo. Its easy to say and easy for people to remember. The Date is April 18th 2009 and the location is 2.5 miles north of the city of Conway on 501. (We need to plan for a date to have our first meeting there during the day so that we can get a visual lay out)

Ok so this is what I am envisioning: Local food markets like Costco or Lowes-Piggly Wiggly~perhaps Super Walmart will all donate to us some Hot Dogs and Rolls.
We can bring out a gas grill cook up Turkey, Veggie and Beef Franks and sell them for a buck each. Pepsi or Coke can donate soda and we can sell it for 50 cents a cup/ can.
The proceeds from these funds can cover our cost to pay for the necessities such as port -o- potties and trash waste.

Why are we doing this? I guess we all have our own reasons. For me, my curiosity has me intrigued about what we can do for our own economy and how renewable energy can assist us to be economically stable. Einstien said "Crazy is repeating the same methods trying to get new results" This statement fits the oil industry to a T. If we do not start implementing new sources of producing Energy right here in the good old USA, then we are going to continue this path of purchasing fuel made by oil purchased from country's that HATE us! No good will ever come from this, ever.

We are a party of 8 people who have committed to give voice on the Pickens Plan. Our short term goal is to have a small but yet effective Go Green Expo in just 2 months. We can do it, we have the right foundation to accomplish this.

I challenge you to make this happen! Get others involved- we need all hands on deck! :~)
