Hello Joel, These new rooftop mount home wind turbine kits that I am building are great. The profile is pretty sleek and attractive. The system is actually a home appliance and doesn't really stand out much more than an antennae, chimney, or satellite dish. This makes a nice clean way for homeowners to get into the clean energy movement. The systems are inexpensive, easy to install and scaleable.

These systems have wind/solar built right in. The wind is stronger in the winter months, sun is stronger in the summer months, we designed a system that is attractively priced, that gives an even flow of energy year round. Wind power scales down in size to be perfectly feasible for a homeowner sized system to provide power for their home. Many customers have found it easy to become wind turbine customer/dealers. They are able to do this with no further investment and they see how easy people are to get interested.

I have used them to save money on my electricity costs and Joel, you could too. The systems pay for themselves in 5 to 10 years depending on your local wind resources, and they last for 25 or 30 years before needing a rebuild. Have a look at these windmaps and see can you pinpoint what number your area is in. 2 is OK and anything over 2 is very good. Let's double check your wind resources are good.

Joel, glad I found your site. I'm an old Vietnam Vet out of Eagle Point. I also have the plans for a hydrogen cell. Haven't started building mine yet. Don't seem to have the time lately, but do plan on starting it. I'm also interested in Electric Cars and Air Cars. Please accept me as a friend and we can keep in touch easier.

Deuce, I think perhaps we had gotten-off to a BAD start. I want to ask you what do you know about Rockafeller, the New World Order and all the propaganda surrounding it?

Very little IF anything. I am aware of a “deep conspiracy theory” that surrounds the group but just like flying saucers and little green space men visiting earth, it is merely the squawking of people with no way, or desire to want to educate themselves. They would rather believe a tale of intrigue than gain knowledge and wisdom.

When you use the Rockefeller name I assume you are referring to the assumed personage that sits at the head of this New World Order. Nothing I can add to that.

Now, IS there a concept as the New World Order. Yes. Are there people with an expressed opinion on the furtherance of this new order. YES. But they are well known to us all and they hold no power over us other than that power we give them by entertaining their point of view. One of their most vocal of points is for the US to join the International Court at the Hague. This is a dangerous idea for America as a nation as it would be the FIRST major hobbling of this country by other countries who cannot currently influence our foreign policy to their left wing ideology. Elements of the Democratic party are obsessed with this idea as they see it as their means of taking over the political process I n this country.

I have come to some interesting conclusions, and come to understand some disturbing truths about our country in witch I was prepared to give my life for while fighting this war on terrorism.

Do these “truths” as you refer to them as, cause you to be any more reticent about defending your country or having defended your country? Remember this, 9/11 was a true wake up call to the US on MANY fronts, not the least of which is its personal freedoms. Before 9/11 I considered it an absolute right as an American to board an airplane, go where I wanted, and WHEN I wanted. No questions asked. Today I cannot board an airplane without first stripping to my bare feet and dispensing with all individual liquid containers greater that 3 oz. Do I feel put upon? YES. Do I give these freedoms up lightly. NO. But I do understand the need for this.

We have ALWAYS lived in a dangerous world. The great thing about this country was that is had a natural barrier to our enemies, the two great oceans. Trans Alantic flight only just started in the middle 50’s, a scant 50 years ago. High jacking of airlines started almost immediately after that. One guy was electrocuted for placing a bomb in his mothers suitcase on a domestic flight in the early 50’s. The explosion killed all on board. He was caught because he had purchased aircraft flight insurance on his mothers trip.

Then came the high jacking for money (D.B. Cooper) and the “Take me to Cuba” crowd soon after. Random airline Federal Marshals eventually brought that under control, But the spread of information in this world was taking off, The internet is now EVERYWHERE and so is how to build a bomb and how to coordinate their forces. The world is NOW a dangerous place to be.

When I was in uniform in Viet Nam and Korea and the Middle East I could go anywhere (except on the battlefield) and do anything I wanted. I was respected just for the uniform. But I was also respected because of the country that that uniform represented. I was seen as one who not only was prepared to defend my country but more importantly, I was seen as willing to defend OTHERS in defense of their country. It was heady stuff. But nothing takes the edge off of the glory of country like the act of killing.

I was always inspired (after I was out of the Army) by General George S. Patton’s comments about “dying for your country”. He said you serve your country best when you make the ‘other poor son-of–a-bitch die for HIS country”. Works for me. I have never looked back.

As citizens of a GREAT country we have many rights but precisely because we HAVE so many rights, we have many obligations too. Among them is the ever present obligation to be vigilant about the conduct of this country and its foreign policy. I do not dislike George Bush but when the final chapter is written on him I do believe that there will be found some serious disease of the mind. I believe that 9/11 paralyzed the man. I do not believe that he was that brilliant to begin with but I believe that we have been operating as a democratic republic with a single president at the political helm but in fact the presidency is currently being run by a triumpart , He is NOT engaged unless someone engages him. The immediacy of the office of the presidency, as I had always known it, was gone. He was dead in the water when 9/11 came, and he has been AWOL on many other important issue since. Today he has only a chunk of the House Republicans to give him whatever it is that he wants and today they failed even to do that.

With a new President at the helm things will be different. You came of age in the span of two failed presidencies, Clinton and Bush. The power of this country is vested in its people and they derive their power from good old fashion values of hard work and honesty.

You have seen a bit of this power in the anger expressed against the Congress last year in the Comprehensive Immigration Bill and today in the smack down of this bail out bill. The American people have not been THIS fired up since the Watergate fiasco of 1972. We thought than that we as a country were broken, unable to respond to a crook and a liar in the top of our government. Good people were being fired in the middle of the night by political hacks and good people were resigning (Richardson Attorney General) in protest at the highest level of government.

We though we could do nothing. But the legal system prevailed and the truth came out in the form of actual tape recordings demonstrating that our President had lied to us. Impeachment proceedings were launched in the House and a late night visit to the White House by Gen Alexander Haige brought news to the embattled President that he had no further moves on the chess board. If he did not resign the “King” piece would surely be removed by force of the Senate. The next day the President resigned and a large headline in the Washington Post blared out two words, “IT WORKS” in reference to the many doubts that people had about our Constitution.

If we allow men to subvert the laws of the land we GET doubts like “the Constitution don’t work”. But it is NOT the Constitution that works, it is “We the People” that work. And we do that through the right to petition our government for redress. We are doing that right now on the PickenPlan site and by telephone calls to the various congressmen. IT WORKS when WE work.

As to your desire to educate yourself on the “evils” of big government you might be wise to look into the life and times of Thomas Jefferson and the other founders of this nation. Read their histories and how THEY view governments. They had a worse fear (and rightfully so) than you ever will. Remember, they threw off the shackles of the largest most powerful government in the world at the time. They knew the nature of man and they knew that only a strong electorate with unflinching rights could ever hope to hold them to task.

They gave us a master document with room to grow and a solid FOUNDATION. Use the Google and read about them. Learn about them. Take solace in the great words of these great documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Read the Gettysburg Address. The Emancipation Proclamation. Read about Dred Scott and the Supreme Court ruling of Plessy v Ferguson and Brown v Board of Education. Rent a copy of the Civil War by Rick Burns. Listen to the sadness and the futility in their struggle. Whether you were a slave, a slave owner, or a Union General, they all had doubts…about their cause, themselves and the viability of their country. But they had a strong leader. Not a flashy one, but one with wisdom and determination.

These people struggled, fought, and some lost, but they ALL contributed to the greatness of this country. Try to find a book called The Words We Live By by Linda R. Monk. A sassy look at the Constitution of the United States. All the players are there, with all of their pomposity and humility.

DO believe in Providence? Absolutely. Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence, and Madison the architect of the Constitution, ended their political careers in absolute hatred of each other. Later they struck up a renewed friendship in old age, corresponding by letters. They both died 100 miles apart from each other on the SAME day, 50 years to the day of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, July 4,1826.

You seem fearful and troubled. No need to be. I have seen worse. My father saw worse during WW-II. His grandfather saw even worst things in the Civil War. Life is getting easier and easier for us yet we fret about it.

You see some of my irreverence on this site but it is not from ignorance, it is from knowledge and experience. I glide through troubled times as if they were a friend. In some ways they are because I have been visited by them before. I know the face of hard times and I KNOW that I have the wherewithal to withstand the buffeting. You will too once THIS crisis is over. You’ll look at it and look back at it and laugh.

Things WILL be better because we are a free people.

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I was in the Military, and then became a diesel, and heavy equipment technician. I have always experimented with alternative energy, and am currently building a hydrogen fuel cell to install on my Jeep. I am also drawing up my own plans to build wind turbines on my 6 acres, (that I own) to supplement my energy consumption. I want to go Solar, but it's a little expensive for me right now.
What excites you about this campaign?
I fought in the Middle East to protect this country in the Army Infantry, and I'll be damned if I give another dime of my hard earned cash to those countries that hate us anyway. Also the biggest reason is for our future. Our children deserve our technological advances now, to better the Economy, and clean our world. And to reduce or eliminate our dependencies on other countries for energy......when we have what we need right here!
What do you want to do to help?
Finish my hydrogen fuel cell for my Jeep, and set the example for others to follow. I am good at building things, and I think thats the best way to show people how it can work for them.
