I am experimenting with a Hydroxy assisted Dodge Ram 250, TB-F.I. 5.2L Van. The main drawback to Hydroxy production is the amount of high Amperage it must draw from 12 V D.C. system; from Alternator, or Battery. I presently have installed a 15 watt RV Solar Panel, but that does not create enough electricity, so I regularly trickle charge the dual Series 27 deep cycle batteries to max, which give me some couple hours of Hydroxy production before the Alternator kicks in; a Plug In Hydroxy Assisted vehicle - Converting Grid Power < HOH < Fuel! I'd like to cover the upper surface of the roof of the Van with PV Panels! Wadda dink?!!
I contacted a few Chinese companys concerning their Solar Hot Water heaters. Even converted the west end of my house to a flat roof! Problem was the shipping of even 1 sample unit to the west coast was way high!
My thought, as well as practile experiments/experance has recently been with installing RV solar maintainers on every day vehicles. I have a 5 watt Unit on my Mecury's dash, keeping up the OE Die Hard battery. Works great! Saves fuel!
Thought you might be interested in the Idaho National Laboratory facebook site. We do a lot of energy research including wind, nuclear, solar, natural gas, etc. http://www.facebook.com/idahonationallaboratory
