C O N S E R V A T I O N :
Free Alternative Energy Available Now !

America Continues to Waste over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
100's of millions of lights unnecessarily burn during the day and night, over heating and over cooling is the norm, over packaging, inadequate recycling, toxic landfills, horrendous road congestion, and our perverted obsession with road construction. Public and Private buildings, Schools, Churches, Homes, ... America's blatant energy waste and overuse is culturally pervasive, and abominable !

1- ONLY with a substantial and tangible economic reward/consequence will most Americans care to conserve.
Crude oil must be taxed at $200 per barrel and offset by making income tax begin at $60k.
Taxing energy is simple, fair, economically sound, and available TODAY.
2- The American auto industry must quickly transition to the 6.4 BILLION people reason$ to manufacture solar, wind, and other alternative energy producers. They already have the needed infrastructure. Every home and building in the world, could be using solar energy. We are fast running out of fossil fuels !

Humanity is racing toward extinction, via global warming, for our failure to stop our energy waste.
Taxing energy (in lieu of income taxes) is the ONLY incentive that will stop energy waste and cause renewable energy sources to be employed.

For the Pickens Plan Team,
On April 22th at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA we will be hosting an Earth Day event which is open to the public. As a 2-yr college to 33,000+ students, as well as being a Hispanic Learning Institution (HSI), this is an opportunity to take advantage of the exposure for our Pickens Plan efforts. Tables, chairs and location will be provided and secured for us. I do recommend bringing canopies for shade, but they're not required. For further information, don't hesitate to contact me.

Enthusiastically,
Armando Telles

I am Frank Britton in Imperial, CA 92251. Apparently I am the ONLY Pickens Plan "Soldier" in Imperial County, CA! I talk informally to my friends, but can't seem to get any traction for Pickens Plan down here. Maybe I'm just "too old" for this. I became 80 yrs. old on Wed. 3-4-09, and am now semi-retired, but still active as a Process Server and Private Investigator here. I love the concept of driving a vehicle powered by natural gas or propane. I have had propane powered pickups for several years that were older models with carburetors. Now most modern vehicles are fuel injected, and it appears that if a modern vehicle is not set-up at the factory to run on "alternate fuel" like cng or propane, it is too expensive to retro-fit a modern vehicle to alternative fuel.
I don't feel like spending $25K or more for a newer, more modern alternate fuel vehicle. When I first went to Propane, I could buy propane across the border in Mexicali, B.C. Mexico during the 1970's - 1980's for the equivalent of 11 cents (u.s.) per gallon. I could fill my 50 gal. tank in less than 1 hour for about $5.00 and drive around for a week! Propane is still inexpensive across the border in Mexico, but the cross-border traffic is so bad now that it takes HOURS to go to Mexicali, fuel-up and come back, and I don't want to waste that much time. I am considering trying to buy a used natural gas fueled vehicle from So. Calif. Gas Co. when they sell them at auction. I looked into this about 2-3 years ago and was informed that So. Cal. Gas sends their cng vehicle to the Riverside, CA Auto Auction for sale, and may follow up on trying to get one there.

I am not the most compputer literate person around and sometimes have trouble getting my e-mails sent to the intended party, so I hope you get this one.

Hello John,

In addition to reaching out and recruiting new and current members of our respective districts/regions, I'd like to invite Picken's Plan members to Palomar College, San Marcos,CA on April 22nd, 2009 (Earth Day) for an environmentally themed event. At this event, I would like to organize a body of Picken's Plan, clean & green driven members dedicated to District 49 and surroundiong areas. For 33,000+ students, this will be the first of many events taking place in district 49 that I can personally assure our members.

Anyone interested? I would be able to provide AT LEAST one booth (table, chairs, and possibly canopy) so we can provide information, as well as representation for the Picken's Plan for sustainable and environmentally efficient energy alternatives. I can be contacted at either my Picken's Plan page or at tellesaj2@yahoo.com.

Thank you for your committment to a brighter and cleaner future!

Dear John- Thanks for your response, and commitment to Pickens Plan. The Summit is just beginning to formulate with requests out to certain highly visible politicians ,CA .and Wash.DC .also Calif.district leaders for PP who are expert in many fields .Variable conditions will dictate the timing and location so as of today summer seems preferable as does Sacramento, with San Diego a close second choice... Isn't there a major solar Expo. scheduled for mid October? That would generate some political bank for the administration if Joe Biden accepts .....a lot is dreamland but luck, hard work, and a great plan will git'er done........more later Ed (sorry for taking so long to reply but my system messed up in yesterday's storm and just got fixed)
