Hi John,

Welcome to California District group CA-46

The Army needs your help!.

I am assisting our Regional Leader Micah Lauer with organizing efforts till a District Leader is found.

I'm excited you joined and looking forward to working together in getting the Pickens Plan front and center.

Please check our group page on a regular basis to see all the activities occurring that need your action.

Now is our opportunity to get the citizens national grassroots movement with local strength to finally end our country's dependence on foreign oil, expand renewable energies and jump start our new green economy.

The Army is Strong, lets get moving!

John, I own Great Eastern Lighting we are fluorescent lighting specialists. We hire tecks to replace outdated magnetic ballasts in fixtures with new electronic ballasts. If 10%of small businesses would retrofit there stores ans shops they would reduce their energy consumption by up 26%.Large corps are quick to make this change but they are knowledgeable of what the new technology offers and the return on investment is a mere 18 months average. If we could get small businesses to make this change it would save an enormous amount of fossil emissions and keep my men working id have to hire many people to keep up with the demand if only 10% would make this switch over.I have offered to change many small businesses in my home town of Charleroi,Pa. on a non profit basis. But they politely say our lighting is fine like it is. The logic escapes me but you can lead a horse to water. Please lemme know any ideas you may have that will get my people back to work and even hire more at good wages also. thanks Chris

I didn't suggest a boycott. I suggested looking at the label and just think about it. If we want jobs here, we have to support jobs here. If I owned Ford stock and saw nothing but Japanese and South Korean cars in the Ford parking lot, I would .........

JohnG,

You're suggesting that we refuse to buy the many millions of products we import from China?! Do you realize just how difficult that kind of boycott would be? Most of the stuff we buy from Walmart and other discount stores are imported from China and other foreign countries. Our appliances, clothes, furniture, and common hosehold products are all imported from countries with cheap labor. By suggesting we boycott China would be like saying we should boycott Walmart and other national chains! What the government can do is pass legislation to prevent more companies from going overseas, but the ones that are already over there aren't moving back anytime soon.

Tom
