Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
None, but I'm a quick study!
What excites you about this campaign?
Finally, someone with the means and experience, has stepped up and said, "enough, we need to do something!"
A good plan NOW, is so much better than a great plan sitting on the drawing board. And your plan is great!
What do you want to do to help?
I hoped to print / copy the pledge, along with general info, start getting people to sign up, and mail them in bulk to Dallas. While studying this website, I realized someone in my city must be starting this already, so I'll just lend a hand where ever I'm needed.

Hi John!

I have found that petitons are the best way to spread the word AND sign up supporters.

Here is HOW TO TURN THE PLEDGE INTO A PETITION!

I find it easiest to take one pledge, cut off Boone's lines under the pledge and add a sheet of lined paper under the pledge instead. I put NAME - ADDRESS - EMAIL across the top and fill in the first line to set the format. Most are more willing to sign where others have already done so, rather than the single pledge at a time approach. Everyone understands a petition.
I ask if they would "sign this petition in support of T, Boone Pickens energy plan to get us off of foreign oil?" Hand them the clipboard so they can read it. I do not require the signers to give me their email if they are reticent - don't let that be a deal breaker - some just do not want to give it.

Check out the 100CLUB group page to see how others have accomplished the task. (it is the first goup on my page) When you send/fax in 100, let me know, we will gladlyinvite you to be a member of the 100CLUB. Your leadership on this will inspire thousands!

There are over 150 people in the pledge challenge that I know of right now. Surely, there are many more that I am unaware of, as it is in many greetings. Those 150 willl bring 15,000 new members. If each brings just 5 friends, these 150 will be responsible for 75,000 new members.

This is the approach that works best for me - I tried many. Hopefully, this will encourage you to take the challenge, too. CAN YOU HELP?

When will we ever have a golden opportunity like this again?

BEST

Hi JOHN!

Please congratulate Dianna Brown, she has joined the 100CLUB today- for those that fax/send in more that 100 signed pledges! In addition to her pledge push success, she drives the Welcome Wagon often, providing a steady and passionate hand in sharing our goals to new members.
She is a Picken's Hero!

Best to you,
Kim

Hi John

Make sure you put your notes to me on MY page so I can see them!
Agree on the ignorant folks....NEXT! Can't wait to hear what today brings for you. I am inspired and humbled by your efforts!

Have you check to see if there any other folks on the site from your area. You cn look up members by zip code or town or state. See what you can come up with. Good luck. Great ideas. I am trying to push the CNG angle here in RI. Wind as well.

Kim,
Thanks again for encouragement. I'm passed trying to get ignorant people to have a conversation with.
At this point, I'm going ahead with my original plans. Lots of folks here in AL are interested in solar power, but we have no installers. If it helps, I can send a resume, but the fact remains, I need help getting a PV distributor here. Also, I have at least a dozen friends who are licensed electricians.

Please help.....someone!! Huntsville, AL wants a solar distributor.

This is what I have been sending to some of the more promnent members of the site:

Glad to have you here. Thank you for your offer of meaningful support for this historical effort! Need folks to help push pledges, and Pickens U. Look forward to hearing from you. 400,000 is not 1 million! Can you get some pledges signed?

Best,
Kim

It is so diappointing that poeple will say they will do anything, but do not. ANY THOUGHTS?

John,
My interest in a CNG vehicle would likely be to purchase a new one rather than complete a conversion. Not being savvy on the technical side plus perhaps having to rely on someone with limited experience, I would choose to buy new and drive for years. From research on line I've found conversion costs to vary from $2500 to $4500. However, safety issues seem to favor CNG over gasoline. Maybe there should be much more data before making any conclusion.

John,

Great question my friend! Feel free to mail the pledges in as well. Some folks dont have access to a fax machine, and faxing multiple pledges can be expensive.

Glad to have you on board and I appreciate your help in growing our numbers!!

Hi Geoff!

Saw your note to Geoff. Does this mean you you are taking the 100CLUB challenge! We need you......

After you get your friends to join the site, and send letters off to Congress....I hope you will work to join the "100CLUB"... for members that have faxed in 100 or more signed pledges.

PLEDGES are the vehicle that can drive our numbers, we need to use them! It is a very easy ask- Boone has done the hard work. All we need to do is hitch our wagon to his horse and plow to the finish. I have sent in 280 so far. I have 48 friends, that I know of, who are working on the challenge. By the end of the week that will be 5,000 new supporters of this plan- 4 times the number that joined the plan online this week.... with just 49 people!

IMAGINE what we could do if everyone that said they would do
anything they could to get this done, joined the "100CLUB"
It comes down to.... DO WE HAVE THE FORTITUDE? I hope so. We aren't asking folks to take up arms. But this IS our revolution. And we have a very small window to get it done. Would like your help.
.
ARE YOU IN?

Best
Kim

From what I can tell so far, you have found a very inexpensive kit compared to what I have seen and heard of recently. Congratulations.

As far as the cost to install a CNG Station, I would ask the NG company in Huntsville for starters for advice.

I agree, CNG education is paramount to the poliferation.
