Maybe--But Not Sure What to Organize
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have lived off grid for several years mostly to know what it's like to produce my own electrical power. I run my cars on waste vegetable oil.(www.fattywagons.com )I also work on combined heat and power systems for onsite generation, regenerative braking systems, and other ways to improve transportation and power generation efficiency. (www.prontopower.com ) Alternative energy is both my hobby and a business. I have built various experimental engine like Brayton, Ericsson, Rankine, Diesel, and combined cycle also small electric vehicles ( www.e-wheeler.com ) . I used to own a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) company. ( www.hydrovolt.com ) I also have lived in and produced products in China.
What excites you about this campaign?
Mr. Pikens has the money and the notoriety to bring the important issue of alternative energy to the masses.
What do you want to do to help?
I'm not sure what help I could offer....

What goes up...

Sure. If the engine can turn the PaddleWheel to push the weight of the boat up stream, than why couldn't a stationary PaddleWheel could be turned by the current!

What part of the country do you live in? I met Amory Lovins at a small alaternataive energy retreat in Massachusetts in 1979. He ehas been to the islands to help on a power line issue about 5 years ago. I wish it were Lovins instead of Pickens leading this issue right now.
