Merry Christmas John,
This year I have helped so many members learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about power use, conservation, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my energy costs. Send me a friend request a to add me John, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, oklahoma: I just posted an article about Home Wind Systems in oklahoma. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "soft policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. You should read that article, important.

In Lou’s opinion, the entire world needs a NAP at this point so it can calm down, clear its head, and get started on the house-cleaning chores that are so long overdue.  He takes a very down-to-pond attitude towards these things – it’s up to each of us to keep our own lily-pad clean.

Hi John

What do you want the new president to do FIRST??

"That's the question of the day at Fox News, and you can weigh in by sending them an email telling them you want to see the next president adopt the Pickens Plan!

Please go to: America's Talking at http://www.foxnews.com/livedesk/index.html

Regradless of who we voted for - our country has decided and we must do everything in our power to insure the Obama's Presdency is a successful one. STARTING WITH ENERGY. We must continue to educate Americans one at a time how urgent renewable and alternative energies are to our future. WE ONLY ACHIEVE CHANGE WITH HARD WORK AND DEDICATION to creating a complete paradigm shift of thought in this country.

Thomas Friedman said some critical things about changing thought and getting action:

What do you think about Boone's New Energy Army marching on Washington when President-elect Obama and the new Congress are sworn in?
I think he’s on the right track.

Why do you say that?
How did we get civil rights changes in this country? It happened basically when people took to the streets and politicians saw them, understood there was an aggrieved community there that wanted action, and the politicians decided that the cost of inaction on their part was greater than the cost of action. The same thing has to happen on energy. There is only going to be real legislative change and support of renewable energy when enough politicians decide that the cost of inaction is greater than the cost of action. And bringing lots of people, and I don’t mean five, ten, twenty, but hundreds of thousands of people to bear on Capitol Hill to drive that point home is really essential.

How closely do you think the major oil-exporting countries are watching us to see whether or not America develops a sustainable energy policy?
I think they’re watching, but I think so far they’re not afraid because they’ve seen this play before. They know when global oil prices go down, it tends to kill the renewable energy industry. Happened in the ‘70s and ‘80s. And so I don’t think they’re exactly quaking in their boots yet. But I think they’re watching very closely, especially when they see the politics shift and they see people like Boone or Wal-Mart, people from the corporate sector or even from the traditional energy business such as General Electric adopting new positions- that gets their attention. They haven’t seen yet any really scale alternative to oil. Until they do, I don’t think they’ll be all that worried.

I have said all along the only way to get this done is to make it political suicide for them not to get it done! The only way we affect results on this is to be strong, be loud, be united and be consistent, in all of it. PLEASE continue to share the Pickens Plan with everyone you know. Bring them to the site. Get them to sign your pledge/petition. NOW is not the time to let down our effort, it is the time to turn up the pressure - We now know where it needs to be directed. We will eat the apple one bite at a time. Please keep it in your conversations and continue to help us build to millions of supporters. WE CAN DO THIS.

MY BEST,
Kim

Greetings John,
Our cost effective, new roof mounting residential wind turbine kits shipping now. The kits are attractive, sleek, well designed to install as a home appliance on the roof, much like an antennae or satellite dish. They are as easy to install as other home appliances, like dishwasher, etc. You can now begin a personal energy plan. These systems are inexpensive, easy to install, scaleable.

Your Wind blows stronger in the winter, Your Sun shines stronger in the summer months. This hybrid wind/solar system combines these cycles to give a more even flow of energy year round. This homeowner sized wind/solar system provides free power for your home. Many customers have found it easy to become customer/dealers of our kits. Customers can become a dealer with no further investment, they see quickly how people are easy to get interested.

I have used the same systems save money on my electricity costs and John, you can too. Your local wind resources are so good in Oklahoma. Please see these windmaps at the link below and pinpoint what number your area is in. Zone 2 is OK, anything over 2 is (very) good. First double check your wind resources from the map and links below.

If everything above sounds appealing to you, why wait? Join the Action Committee now!

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON - - With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too.

Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS" . Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

YOU CAN ALSO HELP BY BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the Main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back to Boone ASAP. This is how we build our numbers fast! Be a leader, be a part of the "100 CLUB", by faxing in 100 signed pledges. Let me know when you are done and I will see that you are added to the list.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
…to wait and see…or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

PICKENS U has been formed for college alumni and university students to get involved. If you are or know of a student who would like to become an ambassador to help coordinate the pledge drive, please submit names to Pickens U site (found on the Main page). This would look good on a job resume.

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not
1) increase our membership nor
2) influence public policy.
If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs - get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE.
Join the Guides and Materials for New Members Group. Lot's of good information there.
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

IDEAS & PROPOSALS FOR PICKENS
I know that many of you have great ideas and proposals that you would like to get in front of Boone's team...
They asked us to have you submit all ideas/proposals in writing to the Pickens Plan at: PO Box 12123 Dallas TX 75225.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS .

What excites you about this campaign?
It is a more serious step towards tackling the problem of energy. It is one of many problems that simply cannot be delt with in isolation. Problems such as sustainable limits on population growth, fresh water, arable lands, habitat destruction, all fit into this equation. We will deal with this at some point, but I sense it is better now than later.
What do you want to do to help?
Unsure but connecting nationals from around the world and enabling individuals to create their own solar resources is a start. Energy efficient lightbulbs was a tiny but reasonable step. Having solar pannels that people can build or purchase at low cost to power home appliances would be another gigantic step. Disseminating effective but low cost technology circumvents the foot dragging of industries too concerned about their bottom lines. By the time businesses feel comfortable with their bottom lines, most of those living today will have been long dead. Information empowerment is a vital key.

Open statement of concern

It is unfortunate that history repeats itself over and over and that collective memories simple fade away. It seems that societies throughout history continue to rumble along until the knife is at their throat or gun is to their head. There are many factors massing on the United States that point to an accelerated decline of our country. As time passes, the bravado and bombastic claims of our country being able to rise up and overcome any obstacle increase. We seem to be the species that will cl… Continue
