Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
Learned about alternatives but have yet to implement them in my own life. Recently theorized ideas to assist in electric consumption reduction. Recently researched gas prices and effects of futures market on oil. I've looked at energy alternatives, concservation and recyling since the early 1970's
What excites you about this campaign?
The campaign itself was never disclosed to me. Only a sign up page appeared that was sent by a reliable friend. After watching some videos I became excited about the plan. I would quit my job and work with T.Boone to make his project a reality. I strongly believe in his ideas. Very few people in this world would publicly speak out to help their country as T.Boone has done.
What do you want to do to help?
Unite the country and force the president and congress to halting trading on oil, import ethanol from Brazil minus the taxes, persuade car companies to work with outside hybrid developers that have cars getting up to 150 mpg. Get the government to fund private sector inventors with operable ideas on transportation. Example; one man has been developing a truck that run on magnetics principles. After three years of work he is forced to seek outside financial help in Austria. Shouldn't the US be there to help our own people? When all else fails the final step will be to publicly fund our own company and move into every area of alternative energy including transportation. That excites me! Help Americans convert their cars to use alternative fuels. The cost of gas today would make this a huge busness if cost was minimal and financial options for payment was offered.

generating electricity in portugal from ocean waves

The link below will take you to a story from a science tech site called dvice.com They have some really interesting tech stuff going on there .
This set up can power up to 1500 homes and is small in comparison to what they say can be done with the oceans. The biggest cost is the equipment , power lines and maintenance. The waves are free so there is no fuel cost.

Probably a very good explanation is the fact that the Government also prefers
the status quo . The oil companies , auto manufacturers and government are all conspirators in the scheme of things .

That's exactly why we must not rely on Government assistance . WE THE PEOPLE must do it for ourselves !!!!!

Hi John :

The " Hydro Assist Fuel Cell ( HAFC ) " produces hydrogen on demand thus there is no special fuel tanks or infrastructure required . This is only phase #1 and it averages 95% increase in fuel economy . They guarantee a 50% or your money back . Hell , 30% would ( should ) make anyone quite content .

Their phase #1 replaces the existing catalytic converter and is the company's " Crown Jewel " . Internal combustion engines only burn 18% of the gasoline . Most of the rest is burn ( wasted ) in the catalytic converter . This technology called the " Pre Ignition Catalytic Converter ( PICC ) converts the unburnt carbons into plasma and utilizes it for energy . The exhaust is water .

There are two videos on the website that explain how both technologies work . Also how the oil companies and auto mfrs have been cheating us for a century .

These technologies can eliminate many , many problems , reduce the power and control over us and be instrumental in the regaining of our Constitutional Republic . It's up to the people to do this , not Government as they are part of the problem .

We not only will eliminate the $700 B leaving the country from the importation of oil , but take away the money spent to buy the politicians . Just think , when the money from lobbyists dries up the politicians will have to return working for us . If we vote them out they'll not be as welcome to those mega corporations to obtain a cushy job and a career as a lobbyist won't be so lucrative either .

We should eliminate the Federal Reserve Bank , The IRS , the FDA and a few other agencies , but it'll take some doing . Enacting the " Fair Tax " amendment is a good start . The war on terror is a fraud . The war on drugs is a fraud . Follow the money and you'll learn the truth .

Oh yeah , I must not forget the Main Stream Media . I disconnected my T.V. service two years ago and don't miss the mushroom food on single bit . If everyone did that it would send a message and cut a huge swath into their advertising revenue . What a terrific idea for a movement , huh ?

Folks , we have the tools to peacefully take back control . What are we going to do about it ?

hi john: AMEN! oops, is that politically correct LOL!!! ;-) Thank you for the information and I will read it. A swift kick never hurt anyone, but we don't need need the government to keep kicking us when we are down. As long as we keep electing the least offensive for president and every other elected office the problems will continue. I think when we went from boomers to the "me" generation to the "x" gen and now the fat and happy (deceived) generation what do you expect? Its going to take generations for the pendulum to swing the other way, back to social responsibility and patriotism. We can't even agree that english should be the first language of this country. That is why I am grateful to Mr. Pickens for investing in the US. When I hear it will take years to fix this problem I can't help but wonder if they would have said that during WWI or WWII? WE CAN DO ANYTHING with hard work and dollars. If we can build battleships why not alternative energy? I read a wonderful book Shock and Awe that talks about how the US really works on foreign policy. Shame is the only word that describes how I feel. Way back when I thought it was wrong to isolate yourself from the world. Now, after being the unpaid police force for that world, I'm not so sure anymore. I think we are paying way to high a price for oil when we don't have to! Three months ago I invested $500 to reinsulate my attic and I have saved $79 per month on electricity. TV says we are driving 53. million miles less than last year and the price per barrel is down. We CAN send a message now with our NOT using electricity. What if everyone didn't use (or minimally) electricity at the same time one day a month? How high would people jump then? Ghandi's passive resistance is effective. How about on earthday 2009? Everyone turn out the lights and go plant a tree LOL! I don't understand why our gov is acting defeated before we ever started, except there isn't enough money in it for them. I always said we would have solar on every house if congress knew how to tax the sun. I would rather have a high tax base than be blackmailed by other countries. I mean leave us a little dignity, please. Maybe someone can clone a backbone for us, because somewhere along the line we lost it; probably when we started selling off US properties to foreigners (non citizens). Heck, I'm waiting for california to succeed from the union! We went from being a super power to being super cry babies. China bales us out??????? And no one is angry??? Just go around saying I want....me, me, me. The center of the universe is the individual instead of the country and they don't even see the wrong in that. Ugh, frustrating! I better stop before I stroke out! LOL oh, no......can't afford medicial bills LOL. Have a great night, keep up the good fight!

Hello John: I am more than happy to pose questions to fla. reps. for you. I admit to not being well versed on this issue though. If you give me specific questions, I can cut and paste and send out for a response. Thank you all for all the hard work you are doing to save our country! By the way, what ever happened to the Grey Panters? Now that I finally qualify, I can't find any? aren't we the generation that was going to change things? LOL Better late than never!

John, thanks for raising this issue. It really is at the crux of our dilemma. I published the following for people like FredDC who want to see the list. Once you see the list, things get pretty obvious. And don't think I'm an anarchist or a way-left liberal. I am a fiscal conservative. I was once a Reagan Republican and a member of my local Republican Central Committee. But that was before my party sold itself out, hook, line and sinker, to Big Oil and began to vote in a bloc for whatever Big Oil wanted. I am a Jeffersonian patriot, and from my viewpoint the Republicans have crossed the line and become traitors. They have turned my country into an Imperialist power driven by profit goals of international corporations and worse, and they have implemented a vast global policy to destroy the advancement of alternative technologies and invalidate the frightening and clear evidence of anthropopic climate change. which threatens our childen's lives. In my eyes, this makes them traitors. I detest them.

Here is the list for FredDC and any others who are interested. It is too large to post here so follow this link:
http://www.hydrogencommerce.com/big_fat_stinking_dead_rat.htm

Below is the introduction.
The Big Fat Stinking Dead Rat in the Refrigerator
Big Oil’s U.S. House Republican Study Group's "Energy Policy Brief"
How the Oil Industry Bought the Republican Party to Wage War on Renewable Energy
Compiled from Oil Change International, Open Secrets and On the Issues
with commentary by Richard D. Masters
The argument is elementary. A scarce commodity will demand a higher price until demand is met by increased supply. This is the argument used by the U.S. Executive and Congress to promote the Great Ethanol Fraud, a cynical, zero-sum political give-away program to transform one vital commodity (food) into another (fuel). However, when the true renewable industry tries to transform the unused "commodities" of wind and sunshine into energy, it is fought tooth and nail.
Obviously, it would be good for the United States to bring its immense wealth of renewable energy online. This flood of additional energy would have a dramatic effect of lowering fossil fuel prices as the transition to an electric economy progresses. But the U.S. government consistently and deliberately obstructs this transition by maintaining a grossly inadequate financing environment for the significant capital expenditures necessary to stimulate the build-up of a renewable energy infrastructure - all the while encouraging the rapid depletion of our remaining petrochemical reserves (estimated at only 2% of global supply) as if no future generations of Americans (or our military) will ever need them.
Just drill, suck and sell until it's gone.
This does not make sense.
The reason for this is simple. In addition to the Executive, the oil industry has bought a substantial segment of the U.S. Congress, known as the Republican Party, to make sure the United States remains an oil economy enabled by a taxpayer-funded but industry-directed military. As a former Republican and Central Committee member, it is clear to me that these individuals are complicit in what is essentially the overthrow of the United States government - from one based on a constitutional democracy to one run through proxy by industry, for the goals and profits of those industries and to the detriment of U.S. citizens, the economy and needs of future generations.
Any Jeffersonian patriot would be outraged by the abdication of responsibility by the Republicans. Luckily for them, our constitution provides for a peaceful revolution every four years where traitors can be removed without bloodshed. Hopefully, this will work one more time.
Our democratic process is threatened not just by corporate control of the executive and legislature, but by massive and massively-financed oil industry disinformation campaigns. The press release that follows is a stunning and disturbing example of how the oil industry now manipulates not only the popular will, but the U.S. government itself through its proxies in Congress. In the right column, it is illustrative of how easy it is to buy congressional influence by viewing the oil industry's influence as a bloc and noting their proxy's voting record.
Highlighted are Koch Industries' association with Bill Koch, who sought to destroy Cape Wind, the first U.S.offshore renewable power plant; Exxon, which consistently derides renewable energy and climate change from anthropogenic sources; and Exxon (again), BP and Chevron, who have recently received no-bid contracts for Iraq's oil, along with Anadarko and Hunt. The New York Times reports that these agreements cover Kirkuk field (Shell), Rumaila (BP), Al-Zubair (ExxonMobil), West Qurna Phase I (Chevron and Total), Missan province development (Shell and BHP Billiton) and the Subba and Luhais fields (Anadarko, Vitol and the UAE's Dome). Also included from the list pre-approved by the Iraqi government are ConocoPhillips, Hess, Marathon, and Occidental Petroleum.
This is not the incidental result of an altruistic desire to spread democracy. It is military-industrial imperialism, rationalized below by the dangerous and deluded proxies of Big Oil who have worked so purposefully to obstruct the development and implementation of inherently peaceful renewable energy - and by so doing have placed entire nations, populations and even civilization at risk for fool's black gold.

Sounds great. Let's identify them, get them out of office ASAP. Just imagine if we were to add to the cost of gasoline what we have spent in wars in the Middle East. I bet that would enlighten some people to adopt Pickens Plan quicker.

Hi John, thanks for your comment. I agree with you that there are forces at work that smell of conspiracy and the futures market needs to be regulated or eliminated for national security commodities. What's to keep the same oils magnates that take our money for oil to fix the market for their advantage. I even once suggested we nationalize the market supplies and ration use and you wouldn't believe the ourageous comments back. It could happen with any commodity if we let it be so but what are we to do? Capital has too much power in this country and it oppresses the masses when it can, it's capitalism running rampant without supervision. I would like to see a fair marketplace but the people in this nation don't want more government involvement. They call it the free marketplace but they are blind to what's happening. Anyway, I'd rather see natural gas replace foreign oil because it's here not over there, where we have to go to war to keep it flowing.

Automobile makers have held the U.S. consumers by the pocket book for decades. Just how much money does it take to build an automobile? In this day and age of science, recycling and technology what gives? The Hudson Motor Car Company built and proved that a hydrogen engine would work over 30 years ago. It needed some tweeking but it worked and was efficient, economical and enviromentally friendly. But what ever happened to Hudson Car Company? The big three automobile manufacturers put the screws to the designer and the Hudson Car Company.

It comes down to profit. Let's look at the rash of crane deaths in the last three months. Cranes that where once built in the U. S. made from U.S. steel and met U.S. quality control rarely had a problem or heard of deaths resulting in cranes losing there structual intergrity. In the last three months we have had three cranes fail causing death. One in the New York area one in Miami and now one of the largest in Texas. Why should this happen on our soil? It comes down to profit.

We have the technology to build better, safer, enviromentally friendly cars that everyone who has a job can afford without going broke. So why aren't we? Because there is no profit in doing what is right. There is no profit when you have pride in your product. There is no profit in spending a bit more to ensure safety. There is no profit in building something that doesn't need to be fixed or tossed out every six months to a year.

We as Americans have gotten to the point where if we can get it for less then we will buy it. We don't care where it comes from or who made it or what their living conditions are or how bad their pollution is now that we manufacture products in there country, just as long as we get it cheap. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines "Cheap" as 1) Inexpensive 2) costing little effort to obtain 3) worth little : shoddy, tawdry workmanship. We have got to make a change in our way of thinking as Americans. We can no longer afford to live in a disposable society. Not only have we lost jobs to foriegn soil we are losing incomes as well. Remember when we use to have "disposable income"? Not many of us have that luxury any longer.

This is why I love T. Boone's Plan! It is making us accountable for our self sufficiency. Keeping American's responsable for our energy needs and enviromental concerns. The fact that fuel prices have dropped due to lack of America's demand is great but it won't last. Fuel prices go down people start pumping. We have got to stop our dependence on fossel fuels and seek alternitives. But we must make the alternitives affordable for everyone and not the select few who can afford it and we must be willing to make the changes with incentives. We shoulden't need a gold star, a bonus check or a pat on the back for doing what is right. We'll get all of those in the years to come when we have broken free of foriegn fuel dependency, clean air and water and a planet that is back in balance.

Peace
