Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I have no work experience per se, but am a retired engineer who has done a lot of research in the alternative energy area. Being a chemical engineer I know a lot about energy content of fuels, efficiencies, boiler operations etc. which gives me a lot of understanding about how wind and solar can make a huge difference. I also have a house along the coast of New Jersey where we have a lot of ocean area prime for wind. Recent opinion polls show the public is more in favor of installing wind power than against, and we have a State Government that is very much in favor of alternative energy sources.
What excites you about this campaign?
Wind energy is huge, I leve it. There is so much land area in our wonderful Country, with a lot of it prime for wind. I would also want us to promote solar power if possible, but first we need to work with the panel manufacturers and material suppliers to drive out costs in manufacturing.
The other thing people need to latch on to is the employment opportunity here. I have read numbers like 500,000 jobs could be created, plenty have already been created. This is terrific, and the money stays here. We also need to find ways to get more of the parts for the equipment needed made in the US.
What do you want to do to help?
I could easily see mself giving talks about wind power, or sitting at promotional booths in public areas talking to people about wind and solar. I am available as a volunteer to even do siting studies for wind or solar. As I mentioned, I am retired, and have a tremendous amount of "energy" on this topic

Hi John,
We are now in day 2 of the Pickens Plan Virtual March on Washington and I want to encourage you to go to the Take Action tab on the main website and spend a minute making your voice count by sending a message to our Senators and Congressman. This is the largest action undertaken to date by the PP and is really the first opportunity for all of us members to actively participate in one effort. We hope to have over 3 million messages delivered each day for the 4/1 to 4/3 period. I also encourage you to take a look at the NJ-04 district website once in a while to see whats going on here in NJ. Hope all is well.
Hi John: Noticed that Jim Graul sent you this message in error. There can be a bit of confusion regarding District areas, so I apologize for any confusion. Living in Brick you are in NJ-04 and I invite you to visit our website to get an idea of what our local group is doing to promote the Pickens Plan. If you sign up for NJ-04 I will be able to easily let you know of upcoming events, such as local meetings and new initiatives such as the Virtual March that T. Boone Pickens has asked us all to take part in. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions, thoughts, or ideas on the Plan.
Regards.
Mike Morton- NJ-04 District Leader
I am Jim Graul the District Leader. I am trying to organize and get started with meetings. Please add me as your friend so you will receive the e-mails and be kept up on whats going on in your district. Let's get things going.
John: My name is Mike Morton and I am also a resident of Brick and am part of the Pickens Plan's group here in District 4 of NJ. We are planning on having our first group informal meeting on January 7th at 7:30pm at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Brick Plaza. I did not see your name on our list of members, of which there are only 13 currently, but would like to extend an invitation to you to come over and join us and perhaps also join our group. We are looking to grow in membership and become an effective tool in getting the Pickens' Plan in front of as many people as possible. Only then can we approach the new Administration in D.C. with a strong appeal to make alternative energy an immediate priority. I believe the time is right because there will finally be an administration willing to listen and consider these ideas in a favorable light. I look forward to hearing from you.
I agree with your posting on November 5th. Why should we wait for the government to act. We could get a groundswell of donors to give to the wind turbine fund, and get T Boone Pickens to build them. I'd be willing to give!

John,
TRANSPORTATION is the master key to basic survival, and the cornerstone of the economy. We all know that transportation presently depends on oil production, and oil production is peaking. We must focus first on transportation – it is the highest priority.
The PickensPlan to transition vehicles to natural gas is a great start toward 100% energy independence, but is a stop-gap measure till we can transition to all electric transportation. Electric energy is strained without adding transportation demands; so we must drastically improve efficiency .
Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT) is a patented technology where travel occurs without air friction or rolling resistance (like “Space Travel on Earth”); ETT can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh (or carbon credit) than electric cars or trains. ETT is silent, low cost, safe, faster than jets, and is electric so it can make maximum use of wind or PV power. I invite you to visit my page to learn more about ETT
Subsidized housing is one thing, but using taxpayer monies to pay for people's mistakes on their mortgages is crazy. If you want to live in a Socialist country, I suggest you try China or Russia, anywhere but the US. We do not need any more socialization.
