With a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle, you need to get used to getting the finger. But it’s not the one for being a poor driver, it’s the one for being a smart driver. That’s right, you’ll have a lot of people you pass give you the thumbs up.
Why shouldn’t they? You’re doing the right thing for the environment by driving a totally electric vehicle that doesn’t have any emissions, and an NEV costs less than 2 cents per mile to operate, compared to 20 or more cents for a conventional vehicle. NEVs accelerate quickly and handle incredibly well.
NEVs make great sense for schools, for governments, for businesses and for individuals. You can get around the campus, the city streets, from one building to the next, and even from one place to another inside large facilities without worrying about polluting the air.
I have been getting the finger for two years this December.
