Happy New Year Jordan,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Jordan, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.

BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.

Hello. My name is Adam. I have been developing an incredible new design of windmill. This project is in jeopardy as my financial backer has defaulted and now relatively minor debts are becoming legal issues. This project holds the promise of reducing wind power costs by 1/2 and also providing large amounts for lower investments. Also these machines can be installed on existing wind farms to increase output on the same real estate as these machines utilize wind 100 ft & below. I need help so I am reaching out. Adam

Welcome and THANK YOU for joining Pickens Plan. Here is how you can help.

EMAIL A LETTER TO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES BY USING OUR EASY RED "CONTACT CONGRESS" BUTTON! This is urgent, because the Energy Bill in Congress is in danger of not passing! With little effort, we have the ability here for you to send a letter to our Representatives in Washington and Governor, too. Go to THE PLEDGE (at the very top of this page on the blue header) On the top of the pledge page there are three rectangular buttons- two blue ones and ONE RED BUTTON, that reads "CONTACT CONGRESS". Fill in the short, standard form. Done!

You can also help by BRINGING 5 FOLKS TO JOIN the site today, so that we can build a voice big enough that Congress will finally have to listen to us, instead of the lobbyists and special interests, who are trying to derail this historic effort.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE PLEDGE on the main page. Print out 10 or more of them, get them signed and fax them back ASAP. When we are millions strong, we can achieve this.

THERE IS NO TIME TO DELAY
...to wait and see...or to see if someone else will step up to the plate. It is time for US to roll up our sleeves and go to work. Right now momentum is working in our favor, but if gas prices retreat, the public will forget the pain, and our moment may be lost.

FOR MORE INFORMATION
Check out Pickens "August Call to Action"- for a course of action! Here is an informative video "Topeka, Kansas Town Hall Meeting": http://www.pickensplan.com/news/2008/08/04/video-of-the-topeka-town-hall

PERSONAL ACTION OPTIONS
We need to do more than “preach to the choir”. Sharing ideas with each other is encouraging but that will not 1) increase our membership nor 2) influence public policy. If you know someone in the press or someone who blogs, get them to cover this. Ask those in the public eye to support this plan.

A GROUP FOR EVERYONE
Check out the many groups for Solar, CNG, your area, etc. Connect, learn and share. We grow stronger with your input. If you don't see a group that speaks to your interest, then start a group of your own.

PLEASE FRIEND ME so we can keep in touch.

Thanks again for joining this historical effort. WE CAN DO THIS!

Profile Information

Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
TEXAS A&M STUDENT! .I have educated myself a fair amount about the options America has to eliminate its dependence on foreign oil. Although my experience with alternative energy itself is limited, my interest and confidence in it is strong. It's surely the future of tommorow. Correction: Today
What excites you about this campaign?
I'm excited about Americans' attempt to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. I also am a huge supporter of the campaign to capitalize on our abundance of free, renewable energy. It's something new, It's something innovative, and something that will actually work.
What do you want to do to help?
I want to help spread the word. I want congress to endorse the Pickens Plan so America can start an energy enterprise for itself. I'm going to wrangle up as many Fighting Texas Aggies as possible to see this plan through. Note: Alumni Base is currently at 300,000 US Citizens. Time to get started!

March

Everyone, tommorow is the beginning of our march on Washington. The first ever, of this magnitude. I was speaking with a journalist this morning on my thoughts about the rally. What I thought would come of it, what am I going to do, and how I've helped gear up other members of the Army, were a few of the questions I answered. Up until now, I had only thought of what we were virtually marching for. However, as I sat down talking to this man on the phone, the reality of the whole thing hit me. I p… Continue

Press conference with Boone- Houston

This morning I had the privilege of attending the press conference in Houston which Boone spoke at. During the event, which was hosted by Transtar ( a consortium responsible for providing Transportation Management and Emergency Management services to the Houston area) Pickens released the U.S. Department of Energy Information Administration’s figures on imported Oil to the United States. For the month of January alone the U.S. imported 67.4 percent of its oil, which amounts to 408.7 million barr… Continue
