keep out political agendas

Mr. Pickens ,
I hope you've read the replies to Mr. D'souza's plan. I agree that aligning with groups or people whose main agenda is political will do too much damage to this movement. If you let this happen you probably would loose 50% of your supporters.

Cuban - Chinese drilling off Florida

What do you think about drilling off the Florida coast?
Some people don't want to see a drilling rig there, I agree.
Some people say it's taking a chance on an oil spill, I agree also.
Problem is that we will see Cuban-Chinese (both communist countries) rigs there soon. We should be drilling there while there is oil,gas there or they will get it first. I think we can do it much more safely then they can.

Harvest Time

Every seed takes time to germinate.
So too in the fields of the soul.
We must never give up and sow
because the results do not
immediate to our eyes.
Let us wait with patience.
In the right moment, the seeds
have driven in the soil of hearts,
there will produce mature fruit.
Understanding and sow Joy, Peace and
Courage, Forgiveness and Love.
Jesus bless you have a good night.

Well, then lets get beyond the politics.

Lets all hope GM succeeds this time. Seems they are sincere about the Volt. Everyone planning on selling electric vehicles that are comparable to the normal looking ICE vehicles are pricing around $40,000 plus. We have to wait to see what Nissan's Leaf will cost: I've heard about 25,000 for the BEV. However, if you just need a vehicle for around town (say 40 to 50 miles) and don't need to go on the highway, Miles Electric has a reasonably priced vehicle that doesn't look that bad.

Eventually, the price on plug in electric cars like the Volt will come way down in price to be affordable to the masses. Considering what is in the Volt and its styling, many will be willing to pay the high price for now. GM-Volt.com has a Want List of over 50,000 and its still growing as the word of the Volt gets out.

I deleted what i originally wrote because its people like you that aggravate me. IMHO, you have no idea of what this administration has accomplished. Negative talk accomplishes nothing; possitive actions are what is needed. T. Boone Pickens created this website with the purpose of solving a major problem this country has; addiction to foreign oil. Your bad mouthing the administration doesn't do one bit to promote that objective.

You better hope that this administration succeeds and keeps us all safe. IMHO, the move to electric economy instead of a petroleum economy will greatly reduce our foreign deficit, renew our aging electric grid, and rebuild this countries infrastructure all with dollars saved by decreasing our use of petroleum. In the bargain, 100,000 jobs will be created. The problem with this country is there are a lot of greedy people here that don't give a hoot about the average person. The money that went to Wall Street was a travesty. Those people getting all those bonuses should give them back to the government or be jailed! The bailout money for the automotive industry was worth every dime.

GM is producing a great electric vehicle, the Volt, that will assist in our ending that addiction to foreign oil. The work in Congress to support Pickens Plan, the Nat Gas Act will stimulate the production of gas from shale oil fields and other gas wells. So my thoughts to you are get with the program; give us positive constructive ideas and if you don't have any support those that do Like T. Boone.

I,m not sure what you are referring to by "Right now it's frustrating knowing the campaign talk was nothing more than 'wind' ."

If you do a goggle search of pickens wind farm you should be able to see the newspaper articles on Texas passing legislation to build a transmission corridor. Best wishes.

Joseph,
I'm assuming by on hold, you are referring to Pickens planned wind farm in the Pan Handle. The reason it is on hold, (I am still not certain about Pickens future intentions for the farm - like you no response from the team), Texas legislature approved funding for transmission lines from the Pan Handle to the Dallas/Fort Worth urban areadid not extend far enough into the Pan Handle to reach Pickens planned Wind Farm and with the drop in natural gas prices, his investors had to pull out for now. If you want to help increase the use of wind energy your best action is to lobby your congressmen to support green legislation. Congress should be considering the Natural Gas Act this month. Its passage would help Pickens get the financial backing from investors to put up a Transmission corridor to his Wind Farm.

Happy trails to you 'til we meet again. Go GM-Volt.com.

Hey Joe, let nature take its way, it is something to do with bills in congress and just hold on, We would not advise to any funding, water seeks it's own level I believe Boone and things will unfold it may take time and have faith, Rome was not built in a day, thanks for the note...PS I would search out green investments to see what's up in that division, or more so what you as a private sector can do for your own home and keep up with the program to write congress and the senate,
