Are you interested in becoming an organizer in your area?
Yes
Tell us about your experience with alternative energy:
I strongly support the idea and utilization of wind power in our area and the country. We have set by for too long not using the amazing resources our county and especially our area. We must change and this plan is a major step for the long run of our bright future.
What excites you about this campaign?
The potential of releasing ourselves from the clamp of foreign oil, and the extreme costs of that oil. As well as bringing much needed income to this part of the country.
What do you want to do to help?
Anything I can.

Hi again, Josh!
Hope this quick note finds you well and still motivated to help end our addiction to foreign oil!
As you know, we have taken a little breather after pushing the call campaign, so we are ready to continue!
Ty Shelton (one of our district leaders) asked that we hold another meeting following his conference call with Mr. Pickens yesterday.
We will be meeting at:
COUNTRY BARN
1-40 WEST
AMARILLO
THURSDAY, MARCH 19TH~6:00 P.M.
We would love for you to come and meet with us and help us continue on our journey of Energy Independence.
Hope to see you there
thanks and greener living~

Hey, Josh! Thanks for your concern and support of the Pickens Plan. I hope that you have already contacted Senator Cornyn asking him to support the Alternative Energy components of the Stimulus Bill. It means alot to this area and the entire country. The specific things we are asking for are:
Extension of the Production Tax Credits
Implementation of renewable infrastructure loan programs
Increasing the vehicle tax credit to make natural gas trucks more accessible for heavy and medium duty truck operators
Extending the fuel tax credit.
You can contact Senator Cornyn's office @ 202-224-2934, if you haven't already.
thanks for your support!

Happy New Year Josh,
Last year I helped so many members of Pickens Plan learn about personal home energy plans. It's all about conservation of power, and home power generation, things I have been doing at my residence to lower my electricity costs. Send me a friend request a to add me Josh, I'd be honored to have you as a friend here.
BTW, Texas: I just posted an article link on my pickens page about Home Wind Systems in Texas. Your state's representatives, governor, and public utility commission officials are not in your corner with this "weak policy" on Net Metering. Instead they have the tables turned against green power for businesses and homeowners. Texas has created multiple sets of rules for loopholes and you have less rights than people in other states. You should read that article, important.
Hi Josh……thank you for joining! Education is the key to knowledge, but where do we start? After you familiarize yourself with the information at this website, a wealth of additional information is available. We can look to Europe as our inspirational model for developing sustainable renewable energy. Countries like Denmark, Germany and Spain lead the way in this effort and have been there for the past 10-20 years - even more. Germany’s commitment through cooperatives and local municipalities has installed 19,000+ wind turbines and millions of solar collectors, both for solar hot water and electricity feeding the power grid.
The onshore and offshore installation of wind turbines in Denmark and Germany are producing 20% of all their electrical needs; in Spain, as much as 38% (please see examples in the photos on my page). We are 10 years behind in implementation compared to these countries!
I mention these examples to give us a direction for inspiration and point to where we could be heading with the Pickens Plan. The technology is already there and we do not have to reinvent the wheel. These are a few of the websites I would suggest you visit to see what others around the world have done and are doing:
1) The Solar Village – Freiburg, Germany. See: http://www.thesolarvillage.com/
2) The Folkecenter for Renewable Energy – Denmark.
See: http://www.folkecenter.net/gb/overview/publications/
Under VARIOUS, read: The transition from Fossil Fuels to the Renewable Energies
The whole website is excellent and you could spend hours there.
3) Google: Samso, Denmark. This is an island off the coast of Denmark that is completely self-sustaining. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/07/07/080707fa_fact_kolbert
4) Read the article written by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. titled: “Global Warming: A Real Solution”
Here are a few great videos to see: “Saved by the Sun” a PBS NOVA video, and “A Crude Awakening” by Basil Gemlpke, et al. Americans need to mobilize and pressure our government representatives both on the state and national level. The Pickens Plan is a good place to foster discussion and share ideas and PUSH this plan! We can all share in this vital common cause. Good luck in your quest for a better more secure America….. Ask your friends to join the “PLAN”. Lee Ewald
Hi Josh,
I am excited about this plan as well. After I signed up, I went under members and it showed who was online. So, that's how I messaged you. Living in Michigan our economy is terrible. It's going to take a chain of events to help our state and country. This seems like a great solution with so much potential.
I am just learning more about alternative energy. I just watched, "Who killed the Electric Car?" and it got me fired up. I came across Pickens Plan in college, a technology course/philosophy course. I was intrigued.
I guess you could say that.
It has been interesting to see the adds and the interviews knowing that it is here that the wind power will be coming from, and great to see the support.
